Guest guest
Hey, I had a CI moment this morning. I was laying on the table in the chiropractic's office, there are two tables to a room. The vibrators stopped on the other table, and the timer peeped. That's the first time I think I've heard it. patsy **************************************Check out AOL's list of 2007's hottest products. Guest guest
Hi all, My disposable batteries have over 30 hours left. A work colleague set by the rechargeable which only took 2.25 hours from 8:45 AM to 11 AM this morning and has 21 hours based on a preliminary mapping Each program is progressively more powerful. On the subway this evening I hard nothing on P2. I turned my right hearing aid on and heard the roar of trains and crowds. I got a set on the next train and went up to P3. The sound started again. The CI Moment is that New York City subway cars have a chime through the intercom when the conductor closes doors. On the second of three express stops I heard it with my hearing aid off and processor on P3. This is a moderately high frequency sound. On the express bus I heard just noise but a few second tum on of the hearing aid indicated a low pitch roar of the bus motor. And this continued for my ride home. I am at my home PC and except for a low sound fan I am hearing nothing. But my hearing aid indicates that there is nothing to hear. I seem to be mapped for high frequency sound but I still cannot hear human voice. Traveling deaf in metropolitan New York City is a dangerous endeavor and the deaf person has to remain alert to his/her environment. However, this is home for me and not a suburban street. Any ideas? Guest guest
Sheila, My audiologist showed me an ear hook or ring. I have four boxes of stuff and some other stuff loose. Sometimes I have to leave my apartment open for maintenance so I feel safer leaving the rechargeable battery charger at the office since it only takes 2,25 hours charge. I have to put the cochlear kit away in a closet. It could be all tossed out as trash. I have to review what I need at the moment. Packages of mic covers can be stored away. I am going to make some dinner and review Sound Way and Beyond. Gerald > Hi All, > > It took less than 2.25 hours to charge up the two rechargeable > batteries. Guest guest
Congratulations, . Speaking of understanding the weather - Thunder is usually pretty faint for me. 'Not sure what the frequency range is but it must be pretty low. It's a little ironic. I can hear higher frequencies I hadn't heard for decades and I've lost the lower ones. I prefer the new way, however. 'Don't really need the really low ones. Virg > This just in, boys and girls. Using ONLY the new implant - Nucleus 5, > was able to understand the weather on the phone. Guest guest
Virg Your hearing is pretty much like mine. The tests yesterday I could hear the audiologusts voice and new she was talking and using sentences but could not understand the words. then there was mans lower voice using sentences and I could not hear a thing. hitgher pitch is what i hear and less of the lower tones. Only way I know it's Thundering is when my little ankle biter jumps on my lap trembling. Have a great day! Debbie Cole ___
