Guest guest
Ok, so apparently using both at same time each will be mapped to compensate for the specific ears needs. That said, what happens if a bilateral person has trouble with one CI. Suddenly the other ear isn't enough as the pair were acting as one, sort of. Now the one good processor, being programmed to be used with the 2nd, is doing it alone, so do you get remapped to adjust for the loss of one processor or will your brain adjust and remapping not be needed? Guest guest
, Our brains are amazing. They get used to and can compensate for a lot of different things. That said...... If you have trouble with one processor, you get it fixed. Period. Happy Hearing! Guest guest
Carol, Would you happen to have a copy of that study done at the U of Miami? I'd love to read it if possible. Thanks!!
