Holly had her second mapping today. They adjusted all four processors. Did

a hearing test, and she had almost 100% comprehension!!! I was so excited. Her

last test was less than 50%, but that was before the second implant. She

mentioned to the audi that her 3 yr old daughter often says " what, I can't hear

you " and asked if they knew how to tell if she was just mimicking her mom. So

they did a hearing test on Staelin (her daughter) and it was fine. They said to

bring Staelin to some of Holly's appointments and they will retest her. I

thought that was nice of them.

Holly still needs to do her exercises to get better hearing, but I definately

notice a difference.

That is wonderful news, .  What a relief to know that it was all worth

it! 

Best of luck to Holly, and to her daughter as she learns to adjust to having a

mom who is hearing so much better.
