Guest guest
HI everyone, So it's been four months since my activation and everything has been just great except for the last month or so. Some sounds were very uncomfortable, almost painful, such as bags crinkling and dishes and silverware clinking, even foil ripping. So I went back to my audi after living with it for a while and he gave me two new maps to try. One squashed down those sounds and for the other map, he turned of one electrode that he thought may be stimulating tissue outside of my cochlea. That was because I told him that when my dogs shake their heads, the sound of their tags clinking gave me a buzzy feeling in my head. Well, I can't even use that map as voices sound very low and warped. Then the other one doesn't sound good either. All voices have a very buzzy quality to them. I also noticed that my hearing changed during and after a bad cold. Anyways, I have an appt. on Dec. 1st to try and adjust this buzzy sound I have. I am getting my second implant in three weeks as well. Anyways, has anyone had a similar experience? Just checking. Happy Thanksgiving!!!
