Guest guest
If you have not had a chance to see the latest information below on this topic (implant reliability), I encourage you to do so. Between the launch of Nucleus 5 in 2009 and June 1, 2010 (Cochlear's annual published reporting date on this topic) Nucleus 5 has achieved 100% cumulative survival rate. Yes, that means that ZERO implants have failed in the 6,986 of you that have received a Nucleus 5 implant. This make Nucleus 5 the most reliable cochlear implant ever made and sets the new benchmark that Nucleus Freedom set before it. A true testimony to Cochlear's lifetime commitment to those of us that use and need their products. You be the judge of this is an important topic and one that would impact your decision on what implant you or someone close to receives. Don't take my word for this AMAZING achievement, see the link below with the full report. http://professionals.cochlearamericas.com/cochlear-products/nucleus-cochlear-imp\ lants/reliability/reliability-update/reliability-report-6-2010 Have a great Labor Day!
