CI with one normal ear

Hi, I'm new to the group. My wife recently had an episode of sudden hearing

loss, which left her with no usable hearing on the left side and a great deal of

tinnitus. Her right ear is normal. The ENT said she is a candidate for a Baha

bone aid, but not for CI. From what I read, CI offers not only usable hearing

but possible relief from tinnitus.

So, does one normal ear exclude someone as a CI candidate? Is tinnitus an

indication? Would appreciate any help or suggestions.
