Guest guest
I'm not sure what to say other than what was stated in the original post of this thread? Other than that it seems that the only way I could see the home page is when I'm already logged in. But not when I'm logged out. The reason I'd like this dilemma fixed is cause I'm wondering that if I'm seeing the " You've reached an Age-Restricted Area of . Sign in now " page, will the potential new member / interested party also see that page if I point them to the home page? Thanks! > > > needs to fix that again. Guest guest
Let me jump in here. This group should not be listed as adult as no adult content is allowed here but at some point in time, someone who perhaps had a grievance chose to report to that the group had messages that were only appropriate for adults. Since we have spent years watching for such problem and moderating until we knew that the postings from new members were safe (moderationg is not a wonderful job), I'm very disturbed about this but doesn't seem to want to correct the problem. I've written many complaints. All I can ask is that if you recommend CI Hear to anyone, you share this glitch with them and ask them to overlook it. Perhaps someday, will get it straighened out. What made me the most disturbed about this is that they didn't notify me that is was happening and I actually found it by accident. When I requested proof that there was something considered adult content here - they weren't able to prove it. We appreciate your referrals by the way. Guest guest
Alice, Perhaps, you don't think it could have been someone that was perhaps just a wise-guy, someone anti-CI or something? That although we could still refer more to the group, it does kind of make the referring process a bit more cumbersome. Perhaps, maybe if more write to , asking them to remove the adult status of this group, they'd reconsider? And how can we write to them to help rectify this situation? Thanks! > > Let me jump in here. Guest guest
FWIW, I went down this happy trail several years ago when my bh News somehow wound up in the " age restricted " thing. After wasting time with emails and getting nowhere, I picked up the phone, called support @ 866-562-7219, pleaded the case person to person, and the matte was resolved in 5 minutes. Only the list owner, or at least a moderator, is in a position to argue the case, IMHO. Bob
Guest guest
What's the update with this dilemma? I think it'll be easier to refer new members to the forum if they are able to see the home page. Guest guest
Dan, my logic, having gone through this before, was that only the listowner / moderator would be sufficiently informed on list details / history to argue the case for moving from the adult category. Guest guest
And how about when the phone call is made, let's see if can stop including the entire rest of the forum with each message that is posted. Unless it's members hitting reply and including all the other messages as well?
