Guest guest
wow, I love seeing the difference in tose numbers. I never go to the doctor unless its for my birth control pills or unless I am sick as a dog so I would have nothing to compare by but looking at your numbers is very impressive:) ~:~The Personal Touch~:~Tags, Stats, or anything else personalized with your name.Everything here is personalized!http://free.hostdepartment.com/t/thepersonaltouchMy Personal Web Site Great news! Last June I went in for a physical and had my cholesterol levels done. For a 30 year old, they were pretty bad. For an older adult, theywere high, but not terrible. I finally got the labs back from a weekand a half ago, and all this hard work is really paying off! Here arethe numbers:Total cholesterol, desirable--under 200Last year: 230 Now: 157LDL, desirable--less than 100:Last year: 115 Now: 87HDL, desirable--over 39:Last year: 25 Now: 43Triglycerides, desirable--less than 150:Last year: 160 Now: 90-somethingYAY!!! And I'm definitely negative for diabetes. So really, I'd like to getthat HDL number up more (they say the higher, the better), but I'mjust so thrilled that I've improved so much so quickly! We have allkinds of nasty stuff that runs in our families (heart disease anddiabetes are two biggies), so I feel like I'm really on the right track.-Bonnie

Guest guest
Hello Bee! I am a new member to the site, and wanted to say congrats to you on your exciting weight loss! I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism over 5 years ago now, and am also a type 1 diabetic. Although my weight has been steadily increasing over the past 6 years, I find I have no energy at all so it's almost impossible to get me to exercise...I fall asleep at my desk at work and constantly feel like my head and body are filled with cotton...I wanted to ask you about the armour thyroid...I heard it can help improve symptoms and in some cases is even better than synthetic thyroid hormones. Did you take any synthetic thyroid medicine (I'm taking Synthroid) before taking armour thyroid? If so, did you notice a difference in your symptoms with the change in drugs? Good luck continuing your exercise and weight loss...keep up the great work! Guest guest
Hi Teressa, I now weigh 169 and am happier than ever... I also won the contest at work and won the top prize of a weekend getaway... Yes, I was on synthroid for several miserable years... Was switched to armour and the rest is history...the weight has steadily come off without a lot of effort from me...at work I deliver patient food trays, so walk 10-20 miles a day... I would never wanat to go back to the synthetics Hugs, Beeteressa_bur <teressa_bur@...> wrote: Hello Bee!I am a new member to the site, and wanted to say congrats to you on your exciting weight loss! Guest guest
Thanks, to you and to others who responded. We're pretty tickled about it. We had pretty much given up hope and were starting to think about ways we might be able to fund it ourselves, although it would have been quite a stretch financially. Guest guest
Congrats. I need to do that too. Its been so cold and snowy here, I haven't driven there to check it out yet. Not only do they have much more to offer but they are waiving the joiner fee of $75.00 plus the first months membership of $35.00 (family price)! So my family of 3 can all go for $35.00 a month. And they have karate lessons which is something my son really wants to participate in. And our local YMCA is only like 5 minutes away. Along with all the other great things too. Hope you all are doing well!! If addressing or replying to me, please be sure to put my name in the subject line to assure that I get it. Guest guest
I took water aerobics when I was a member at another health club. I loved it! So much better than regular aerobics I think. When you start feeling that burn in your muscles, the water definitely helps relieve it. Tell us what you think when you've done your 1st class. -- Re: Great news! We are members also. Guest guest
Hi Jen, I am so glad things are going your way and Hope is doing so well! Michele Great News! Hope will be graduating from ABA at the end of this month, her doctor says she has never seen anyone progress this fast - from non verbal to talking and describing things in one year! We had our IPP yesterday, and they are 100% on board, and will provide additional speech/language therapy and a social skills group and camp during the summer. With our income we only have a copay of 5% - also we will have 16 hours of respite per month.I am feeling so beyond blessed! Hope continues to do very well at school, sometimes her aide is sick and that throws her - it is hard for her to fully attend to someone she doesn't know - eye contact is difficult. She is making consistent eye contact with the people that she knows well, and doesn't need any RSP services at school other than speech/OT and her aide. DH is retiring on the 28th, and while he still hasn't found a job, he is interviewing at the port of long beach this morning, NASSCO showing a lot of interest and he has an interview at the port of san diego on the first. Things seem to be turning in our direction - Jarrod and I are getting along better than we have in over 7 years. We have been on the verge of a divorce for the past two years - and we got into it about a month ago, and I think that he finally gets it - he has said all along that I talk to him like a kid - and I explained to him, that I do not talk to anyone differently, be it baby, child or adult. When I get frustrated I talk slower and try not to use 20 dollar words -you know? I have also seen a lot of improvement in my adhd and my mood fluctuations AND my rheumatologist started me on Plavicix (sp?) for my pain. I went all day without a pain med (vicodin) for the first time yesterday in three years... Thank you all for being such a support to me in the most difficult year in my life! 8:00? 8:25? 8:40?
