The Last Airbender from Paramount Pictures* (cc desc) (rated PG) The story follows the adventures of Aang, a young successor to a long line of Avatars, who must put his childhood ways aside and stop the Fire Nation from enslaving the Water, Earth and Air nations. 2. Inception – Delayed Availability of Captions and Descriptions It doesn't happen often--and in fact we can't recall the last time it did--but the director of the upcoming film Inception will not provide advance work materials for the film so that we can create captions and descriptions in time for its debut. We'll work as fast as we can once we get the film on July 16, which is the date it debuts in theaters. To be safe, and because once we caption and describe the film it still needs to go to another company for creation of access discs for theaters, we're estimating the availability of captions and descriptions for Wed. July 28. Hopefully it will be sooner. We'll plan to issue a special MoPix Update when we have more information. 3. New DVD and Blu-ray Discs Released with DVS It's been a few weeks since we've updated folks on the movies out now on DVD and Blu-ray discs that have an optional DVS track. Here are a few new titles available now in stores, online and through our always up-to-date Web page http://www.describedmovies.org Green Zone from Universal Pictures Home Video, rated R. Star Matt Damon is an Army officer in Iraq who becomes increasingly suspicious of the existence of weapons of mass destruction, cited as the reason the U.S. invaded the country. Reunites Damon with Greengrass, director of The Bourne Identity and its sequels. Percy and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief from Twentieth Century Fox Home Video, rated PG. A teenager discovers he's the descendant of a Greek god and sets out on an adventure to settle an on-going battle between the gods. Currently the #1 bestselling DVD on amazon.com. 4.
