Guest guest
Hi DJ I have had my sequential CI for almost 5 yrs and i love having sounds come into both ears! Yes,I can tell where sounds are coming from.I especially like hearing the birds when i am out walking.I hear them all around me ..When I had only 1 CI it seemed like they were only on the side where that CI was on.I can also find which tree the bird is sitting in. Yes,I do hear better in noise. The sounds come into both processors instead of one. Do i have a benefit of amplification.Actually,I don't have to have either processor turned up as loud as i when I have only one processor on.This saves on batteries too. When I take one processor off sounds get very soft and I feel half alive. I have not experienced any robotic sounds.I have always felt that my brain takes the best of each processor and the sound meshes and sounds great! I do have a published book,I Danced-A Cochlear Implant Odyssey .I share my experiences with bilaterals as well as other things.I am offering a complimentary copy to anyone who wants a book. The only expense is 3.00 for shipping and handling. If interested just Email me.
