Guest guest
DJ-- ( I hope you don't mind) is legally blind so she is asking which program benefits you in a noisy environment like the traffic. When I was in Boston with my brother and his family, I found that My adro program with the sensitivity turned down from the default of 12 to 10 to be very helpful to me as I was so busy talking to my brother and in crossing the traffic. So I hope this helped you. One awesome thing about the freedom is that you do have the choice of turning up/down the volume and sensitivity to meet your " hearing print " At that time I didn't have the autosensitivity program in my freedoms. I am going to try out the Auto sensitivity program this weekend at the convention at Sturbridge and compare it with the Adro and decide which one I like best... Guest guest
Ah, ok that makes more sense, just sounded funny when she asked. But seriously, why don't you get a program made that amplifies the key sounds such as low frequency engine noise over other sounds? Also if you have streets you cross regularly, I would contact your local govt. And have them put the beeper things on the signals. I know in Colorado, the hwy dept and citys will install yellow caution signs stating Deaf and or Blind person or child in the area. Originaly from CA I had not seen that till I moved to CO On Thu, 12 Jul 2007 4:13 pm, lisamunson wrote: > DJ-- ( I hope you don't mind) is legally blind so she is asking > which program benefits you in a noisy environment like the traffic. > When I was in Boston with my brother and his family, I found that My > adro program with the sensitivity turned down from the default of 12 to > 10 to be very helpful to me as I was so busy talking to my brother and > in crossing the traffic. Guest guest
I use ADRO about 97% of the time. Ted F. > > Which Freedom program do people find most helpful in crossing streets > and why? > >
Guest guest
, I find that my open program gives me the clearest and best sound quality for crossing streets. When I use ADRO, it tends to dampen some environmental sounds. Guest guest
Thanks, Snoopy. I have noticed in recent weeks difficulty with non-lighted traffic crossing in busier intersections where there are no accessible signals. It appeared as if the vehicles are far away when I am at the curb and in the midst of crossing, they sound as if they are suddenly upon me, scaring me. I will give ADRO a try. Guest guest
Interesting , It is the open program that is giving me trouble. What settings are they set at on the open program on your CIs?
Guest guest
, Both open programs are set to a sensitivity of 12. ADRO is also set to a sensitivity of 12, but when comparing the two, I find that I receive more clarity from the open programs.
