Faith,

It IS a difficult decision you are faced with, whether

or not to implant your child. It is a decision nobody

can make for you. My own mom was terrified of

surgery. I don't know if she would have made the

decision for me to have the CI as a child but she

was stunned and thrilled when I got it as an adult.

I did not tell her until the surgery was over and I

was hearing with my than-brand-new cochlear

implant.
