Well that makes allot more sense, I believe that part could be true,

i don't think i would take the 4 tbs a day though, I think that would

be allot of calories in one day from just fat, good or bad but the 1

tbs a day I think I could work that in just fine. I really am trying

to watch calories but I have good news! My left foot is pain free and

it is really awesome! The right which is the one that was really bad

is still tender but doing pretty good, better than it was for sure. I

got on my spinning bike today for an hour, but kept the tension light

and didn't do any standing or jumping just stayed in the seat. It was

so good to get in a cardio workout and to sweat again! YIPPY! so

hopefully I can get back into working out now, and then I don't have

to worry so much about the calories. My tummy was a little queasy

after my breakfast of eggs and toast (fried in coconut oil) but after

downing a liter and a half of water during my cardio I feel pretty

darned good! I still have all this oil on my scalp, have not washed

it off yet, so I look like an oily mess hee hee, it is good my hubby

is not here to see me!

Anyhow it was kind of nice to spend the weekend doing my little mini

detox stuff with my garlic and my coconut oil, hee hee, it has been

awhile since I had a chance to do this stuff and it feels nice.

hugs

aren't subject to the same kind of weight gain. On the coconut oil

Thanks Kathy,

My right foot is still hurting but it is about the same as before so

it is not like I am disabled because of it. It just hurts esp in

certain shoes. I am able to work out again which is really important

to me. I don't do well without my workouts, I start to get very crazy!

Did the docs tell you how long it would be before you knew if it

would actually make the pain go away? I mean maybe it will get

better over time? Is that a possibility with this procedure? Oh, I

also wanted to ask you if you have tried reflexology? I know that

involves pressing and massaging the foot. When my foot hurts really

bad I take a racquetball---it has to be a racquetball---and place it

on the floor. then I press my foot on it and rotate the ball under

my foot. I can control the pressure and find the trigger points

causing the pain. it hurts at first, but then feels much better!

cAn't hurt to give it a try.

I should mention to everyone that Bonnie Prudden has written an

excellent book called MYOTHERAPY. She also has a similar book

entitled Pain Erasure. Both deal extensiviely with pain issues and

trigger points. I have had fms for over 20 years and this book has

saved me countless hours of pain. I use it on my family too. It is

very technical but shows how to find what is causing pain anywhere

on your body---that is muscle pain--and press on the point where it

is coming from to break the pain cycle. IT WORKS, IT REALLY WORKS!

I would also say that alot of muscle pain is misinterpreted as joint

pain or other causes of pain. Tendon pain is often misattributed to

joint pain. I think the author describes how to tell what the pain

is coming from. I say it can't hurt to give it a try! Most

libraries have these 2 books. They are worth their weight in gold.

Hi , I asked the same questions about a week ago. My post are titled

Calories following the plan or something to that effect you should be able to

see Bee's responses to my concerns there. I have been cooking CO and butter

and taking a addition tablespoon or 2 as needed to meet the fat requirements.

I was very concerned as well but I have not gained any weight in the past week,

in fact I have lost 6 lbs. I keep my fat up to at least my minimum which is 185,

carbs below 50, and protein around 74. It took me a few days to get the hang of

eating this way but it has been very successful and I feel really good after

only a week.

Hi

i've been taking 6 Tbs (90 g) of coconut oil and 4-6 Tbs of butter every day for

the last 6 months. i might not lose weight as fast as i'd hope but i'm not

gaining any.

to gain weight, it takes a certain level of insulin to instruct the cells to

store energy. insulin is triggered by elevated blood sugar level and it takes

carbs to bring about that surge of sugar in the blood. fat doesn't create such

insulin response. an other thing i found about good fats is that it curbs carb

cravings.

do you enter everything you eat into a calorie counter like FitDAy? i wasn't at

first and i was eating far more carbs from veggies then i thought.

hope it helps a bit. Bee or someone else probably has more info on the subject

:)

all the best
