Guest guest
Hello everyone, One month ago I was started on wellbutrin xl with the goal of getting off lexapro; I found lex was not working anymore and making me exhausted. Last thursday was the last time I took lexapro having gone through the process of weaning off of it appropriately. However, over the last few days I have been having brief but intense jolts of energy especially when I move fast in a single direction. This seems to be similar to what I experienced when I came off paxil ten years ago but I am not sure. HAS this happened to anyone else? Could this be the effect of wellbutrin kicking in now that the lex is out of the system?-any help would be great-thanks-t
Guest guest
I've been taking 10 mg daily " only " since January of this year. I'm hoping that since I've been on it " only " for six months, it will be relatively " easy on me " to reduce down to 5 mg a day. I'd like off the things completely, but I'm worried that my chronic anxiety might come back full-fledged (the 10 mg a day of Lex *has* helped to keep it simmered down somewhat). I might end up having to go through a period without health insurance, so the cost is going to be a factor for me (it's expensive to buy it w/o a prescription!). --Diane Re: Coming off lexapro I was taking 15 mg for the past year. I started to ween off the lexapro by decreasing 5mg every 5 days such that it took about 15 days to fully come off of lexapro. Yes, these very much seem like brain zaps but sometimes I feel it across my entire body. I plan to call the dr. tomorrow to ask about it-t

Guest guest
Diane, I just cut down to 5 mg. 4 days ago on my own and today was just horrible. I had to work at my computer all day--nauseous, dizzy, felt kind of out of my body. I don't know if I should have cut back so quickly or not. But I was on 10 mg. for 5 months so I didn't think it would be a big deal. Everyone is sooo different so maybe you won't notice any effect at all. See my doc on Friday--can hardly wait. Xanax isn't even helping the increased anxiety. Ugh.
