Lexapro and breastfeeding?

Hi, My OB & PCP suggested that I try Lexapro since I've been having a

real difficult time with anxiety and depression since becoming a new

mother. However, I'm actually pretty anxious (suprise, suprise) about

taking it and becoming dependant on it forever. I also am still

breastfeeding and worried about the effects on my daughter. Does anyone

have any experience with Lexapro and breastfeeding? Also is Lexapro a

med. that you can take for a while to balance you out then can you stop

and be okay? Or does your body then depend on the ssri to be okay. I'm

sorry I'm rambling. I just want to know if the Lexapro restores your

chemical balance or if it's needed to maintain your balance. Thanks for

any advise and input.
