Guest guest
> And you're also so right that therapy is a critically important part of recovery. You can benefit from drugs without therapy, but real, deep-down personal change requires that you develop acute self- awareness, and in my opinion, you can't get there without the type of merciless self-examination that happens in psychotherapy. Tough questions on this (and probably easy answers). I went to a psycologist (PHD) and had a session, the guy was like 60 and I thought he was falling asleep while we were talking. Then found out he can't write perscriptions so I have to go to someone else for refills (got perscribed Lex at a local very good walk-in clinic). Want to find someone else now but is it better to see a psyciatrist who can alter and regulate your meds during therapy rather then a psycologist who can only provide therapy...? Thanks in advance.
