Guest guest
I recently told my brother in law and sister in law that I was taking Clonexpam and Lexapro and my sister in law just gave me a disgusted look and brother in law just laughed, I joked and said I was taking a controlled substance, the Clonezpam. No one will understand unless they have truly suffered and have to turn to meds for some help, we are not weak, stupid, lazy, crazy, or anything, just people who need help just like someone who has a cold needs kleenex, the predjudice is just outrageous! Be proud of who you are and that you're seeking help to be a happy, healthy, whole person who has a right to feel good!
Guest guest
It was either Clonazepam, epam, or... go crazy and have to move away or be hospitalized or something like that! (To get away from my two jobs - both which are VERY stressful, but my mom needs me right now). You are right: people don't understand unless they have been there. I tell NO ONE about my medicinal use to try to control my anxiety, except for my older sister (who has been on every anti-depressant under the sun, and who understands... thank god for her!). --Diane Judgements By People I recently told my brother in law and sister in law that I was taking Clonexpam and Lexapro and my sister in law just gave me a disgusted look and brother in law just laughed, I joked and said I was taking a controlled substance, the Clonezpam. Guest guest
What's really dumb is all the people who don't get help and continue to be miserable. There's no reason to live that way. I am reculant to tell people about my meds, Lexapro and Seroquel. Yes, there is a lot of prejudice against the mentally ill. I function in society and hold down a full time job. People have misconceptions about people who take meds. Nadira
