Guest guest
Hi --Thanks for the welcome. Yes, Pdoc is an abbreviation for, oh, Psychiatric Doctor or something. I find it kind of amusing, as a former psychotherapist myself (well, I guess I still am one, just not practicing right now). Has anyone ever thought of the breakdown of the the word " Psycho Therapist? " Pdoc's are the guys with the big egos and the prescription pads. I'm only seeing one this week because I'm on anti-depressant #4 this year (in one year), and I feel like it's time to get some " expert " advice. I hope this guy IS an expert and is worth the money, as mostly I just work with a nurse practitioner, and I pretty much self-prescribe, since I am, or was, in the field myself. Don't get me wrong--there are some wonderful psychiatrists out there, and I've known a few--but there are also some whose main function is to drain your wallet! Sorry you're not feeling well, . Hope it is just the flu or something else that will pass quickly. Hugs to all--Margi
