Guest guest
Greetings. Today is day three on Lexapro. It is my first anti- depressant ever. I am 31 and have been in and out of therapy for over 20 years. I've resisted ADs for a very long time now but the bouts of depression are getting more frequent and deeper. I've felt the nausea for two days but it went away when I ate. Mostly it is in the morning around 11 am. For me it seems as if things have slowed down in my head. And that is good. I look forward to chatting. Jen Hi Jen! Congrats on starting the Lex. What time of day do you take it? Terry
Guest guest
Terry, I've been on lexapro for a month or little more and I had similar symptoms but they didn't last. Guest guest
Hi Jen! Today is day four for me. My doctor told me I'd feel more anxious (I have deprression and anxiety) the first little bit on it and he was right. I feel very strange but it shouldn't last. I almost get to the point of grinding my teeth and yawn all day long. The nausea has gone away but my apetite went right with it. I'm having trouble eating anything at all and am interested to see if anyone else had/has trouble eating. I should have introduced myself right away but didn't. I'm Cyndi, 36 years old and have been on and off AD's for about 10 years. Cyndi On 10/8/06, ruthandjennifer <ruthandjennifer@...> wrote: > > Greetings. Today is day three on Lexapro. Guest guest
I take it at night. It seems to make me a bit dizzy and tired in the second and third hours. I cannot go to work like that. I teach. I have a lot more energy this morning. I feel somewhat 'normal'. It is probably part pyschological and part medical. My wife and I have been doing some talking and my dad (he lives with us) and I have been doing some talking...so that makes it better. I think Lex has just given me more confidence (like, I've hit bottom so I've got nothing to lose by sharing my feelings). Thanks for responding. jen > > Greetings. Today is day three on Lexapro. Guest guest
I noticed a slight, so far, decrease in appetite. I'm a snacker but haven't been doing much lately. Usually with depression all I want to do is eat. I have to eat in the morning or I get nausea. Actually WANTED fruit this morning (am having a smoothie). This morning I had a bit of a rising feeling while laying in bed. Like everythign wanted to float upwards and was! Jen > > > > Greetings. Today is day three on Lexapro. Guest guest
I had to force myself to eat this morning. ( I won't take the pill without eating first. I probably will have a hard time eating the rest of the day until dinner which I will force myself to eat too. When I was on Paxil all I wanted to do was eat and gained 15 pounds. I didn't want to do that this time but don't want to lose weight either. I'm hoping my appetite gets back to normal after a few weeks. ) So far I do feel a little better in my spirits....meaning, I'm not waking up with a sense of dread and yelling at everyone. The floating thing, that's weird but probably nothing to worry about. I haven't felt floaty yet but do feel a little odd.... Guest guest
I'm on 10 mgs. which I believe the doctor says was what I would probably stay on..... Guest guest
I think I know what you mean. Sometimes I feel that way but it could be problem with having less sleep than usual. Do you sleep all night? Since been on this drug I've gone from sound sleeper to somewhat disturbed. ruthandjennifer <ruthandjennifer@...> wrote: I noticed a slight, so far, decrease in appetite. Guest guest
I've had some caffeine so that might have been keeping me up the first and second nights. Last night I took some melatonin and slept right through. Felt great this morning. The floating sensation is weird. I just feel lighter. jen > > > > > > Greetings. Today is day three on Lexapro.
