Guest guest
If I take Lex in the PM, it absolutely snows me and makes it impossible to wake up. If I take it during the morning, it seems to give me a boost of energy. I just switched from taking it in the PM to taking it in the AM and it has made a world of difference in my energy level. My apartment is clean for a change and I'm keeping it that way. That's the miracle. Sue C Lexapro day or night I just started Lexapro and was wondering if most people take it in the morning or at night. I have trouble sleeping and I can't tell if the Lexapro is helping for making it worse. I have only been on 5 mg for 4 days. Just wondering. Guest guest
Sue, I took 5 for a week andthen went to 7.5 for a few days and now I'm at 10 less than a week now. I didn't notice much except at first waking at 4AM. I was a little more anxious but don't notice much now. I guess it affects everone differently. Guest guest
since everybody is different you'll just have to experiment with it. I take it at night because it does help me to sleep. However, you'll find people on this board that take it at different times because of the way and degree that it makes them sleepy. ak --- niteyorkie75 <niteyorkie75@...> wrote: > I just started Lexapro and was wondering if most > people take it in the > morning or at night. Guest guest
I take my lexapro first thing in the morning. However, the first week I started taking it, I would wake up every morning usually around 4:00....wide awake...for no reason. Thankfully, that stopped by the end of the first week. Now, I sleep very nicely at bedtime all through the night. I have read several posts in the past about lexapro making people sleepy which is why they choose to take it at bedtime. In my case, I don't get tired from it at all...it has given me the much needed ambition I had lost for awhile, so I am able to get through the work day much better, so I want to take advantage of the little fire it's lit under my butt during the waking hours. Since you are almost through with your first week, chances are you will be sleeping more normally, for you, in a matter of days! Good luck! niteyorkie75 <niteyorkie75@...> wrote: I just started Lexapro and was wondering if most people take it in the morning or at night. Guest guest
It also takes several weeks to kick in. I used to get impatient waiting for it to kick in. Guest guest
Sue, What was your dosage before you noticed much if you can remember. My sister and my dad take this med so I thought it might also work for me. Mark Sue Chapman <chapmn47@...> wrote: It also takes several weeks to kick in. Guest guest
Actually, I noticed it within a couple of days of starting it. But it takes 3-4 weeks to reach full potency. It has to build up in your system. Sue Lexapro day or night I just started Lexapro and was wondering if most people take it in the morning or at night. Guest guest
Actually, I felt a difference within the first week of taking Lex. I was already taking Celexa, which is chemmically similar to Lex, so I just stopped the Celexa and went right on Lex. 20 mg.. It has since been increased to 40 mg and I'm doing great. Guest guest
I take my 10 mg.btwn 10 a.m. and noon. My main problem with Lex is it makes me RAVENOUSLY HUNGRY !!! On the plus side I think it is responsible for a " color sensitivity " ( " enrichment " of colors I see) ....usually in the evening. ........................tony. ********************************************************* -- In Lexapro , Mack <catmac1953@...> wrote: > > I take my lexapro first thing in the morning. Guest guest
Thanks to you guys, now I have a better understanding of why I've been weirdly hungry on some days, like today. I know I've had what should be enough food for a good while but it doesn't seem to satisfy long enough. ak --- Mark Dehaan <vzxbqf1135@...> wrote: > I noticed that too, I notice I'm hungry when I > should > be but I think its increased my appetite.
