Guest guest
All I can say is that they did go away with me. They should go away with you too! I have not read anything where the effects of SSRI's do not reverse after discontinuation. Jeff > O.k. guys. I'm weaning off the Lex. Didn't help me much. I'm down to 5 mg. and am feeling depersonalization, head rushes, dizzies, you name it. I'm am soooo distressed. Even my dear Xanax isn't helping me. I need help. I see my doc on Friday, but I refuse to go on any further SSRIs. I haven't had much luck with them. I just want to know if these feelings will go away! Thanks for listening. > > Deb > >
Guest guest
Same here. I weaned down as far as I was able, to the point of taking only 5mg one day per week for several weeks and then stopped. Even so I still had withdrawal. It took a couple of weeks or so to stop altogether. I do remember when it got bad I would take a 5mg portion. I had to do that maybe twice. Then finally the withdrawal was tolerable and not long after that stopped completely. Barbara Re: Please Help with the Dizzies > All I can say is that they did go away with me. Guest guest
Thank you Barbara! I'm trying so hard to figure out if this is withdrawal or anxiety. Both suck. If I can't take SSRI's, I don't know what else to do except for maybe CBT therapy, which I have tried but have to start to practice. I'm so tired of medications--one for headaches, one for anxiety, etc., etc. And I'm so tired of feeling like poop. I workout 5 days/week. Riding a bike, lifting weights, and just started Pilates. What's up with that? Thought that was supposed to make me feel better? I guess I have to work on the brain as much as the body. Thanks again. Guest guest
I'd be willing to bet it's mostly the withdrawal and of course for people with anxiety/panic disorder anything can cause a rise in the feelings of anxiety and physical withdrawal would certainly qualify. How long were you on the Lex? That would also have a bearing on withdrawal... This too shall pass. That much I *can* tell you. :-) Barbara > Thank you Barbara!
