Guest guest
Hi I was prescribed lexapro 10mg 3 years ago for anxiety and OCD... I had always been a small person 105-110 lbs.(actually a little to small)for 5'5 " I eat healthy and exercise hard, I gained TONS of weight and thought maybe it was just the after 40 things, I went through thyroid tests and all( my MD. insisted that with the med most people tend to lose weight)I got up to 140 lbs. AFter talking it over with my MD. and had been on the meds for 2 years, I decided I would try to wean off them, realizing that my OCD was under control and my anxiety almost to a " who cares about anything attitude " I have been off lexapro for 14 months and I weigh 115-117 and am quite happy with that, and my OCD situation is mind control doing very well with it, anxiety is anxiety it was mostly social anxiety and for two years on my meds I was GREAT so once again in my head when I come across those situtions I force myself and say I was fine before I will be fine now. if it gets that bad I will take a Zanax ( that is not often I have had the script for a year and think I took two pills).. Depression I realize is a whole chemical issue one needs the meds, my experience I figured out in my head with the aide of meds and was able to discontinue the use of it. Not everyone's solution just sharing my experience Treasa
