Gosh, That has to be stressful in itself! I am actually in N Nevada

and luckily it gets cool at night. I got an Apple Ipod and even

though I live alone, it does have tendancy to relax me. It has noise

cancelling headphones and is more effective for me than just putting

on the stereo (everything else is blocked out). Got it when I had to

fly across country due to the death of a parent and it even can dull

down the drone of airplane jet noise (the headphones that

is...amazing) The ones I got were about $60...not the $300 Bose

ones. They are made by Mcnally and have great battery life. HIGHLY

RECOMMENDED!

As far as Kava Kava goes....I take it in a tea from time to time

trying not to take it regularly due to the warnings (and the rest of

the crap I take). I find is somewhat soothing but its quality is

very dependant on what brand you get.

Thanks for the info

Regards

I too drink Kava Kava tea now and again. It's not NEARLY as effective as the

300 mg. capsules of Kava Kava, two taken 3 times a day with meals. I swear:

*you* will swear you're on extra good epam! Trouble is, it is harder and

harder to find, and it IS supposedly tough on the kidneys, ... so I think it's

something to turn to *only* for a short duration of time to get you THROUGH

something serious (such as withdrawal), that you might not make it through

OTHERWISE. It helped me, a *lot*, to ease the w/d symptoms so that I *could*

get fully off epam (generic Valium), which is a tough, tough drug to get

un-addicted too once it's got its hold on you.

Diane...

Please check your email...I just sent you a question about the

Kava Kava.

You think apam is tough....do not try Xanax! It's half life is

so short...it was a bear. I switch benzos and go off from time to

time....luckily I keep the dose small and have not had a problem yet.

Thanks
