Guest guest
I was told by my doc that he could not give me migraine meds since I was on Lex. But I do not know what they contain. He said it was because both Lex and these meds do the same thing with the blood veins. ?!?! > > Hi all, > > > > I started Lexapro two weeks ago. Guest guest
I've been on Lexapro for about a year now(10mg.) I also take Fiorocet(as needed) for migraine headaches. I've had no problem taking the two meds. I've also taken Excederin for migraine headaches will no ill effects. My migraines have improved. Guest guest
I take Tramadol, along with Lexapro, for my ongoing TMD pain (similar to TMJ). My doctor said it was okay to take both the Tramadol (generic Ultram) along with the Lexapro (10 mg. a day). I too also take Fiorecet, as needed, for severe headaches (but don't need to take it very often). I also was on Celebrex (helped the TMD pain, and my arthritis in my fingers), but I quit taking it as I found that just taking the Tramadol helped with both the TMD pain and the arthritis -- which is odd as Tramadol is not known to help arthritis pain as it is not an anti-inflammatory. It's a non-narcotic pain reliever -- the generic and cheaper version of Ultram. Good stuff. At the worst of my TMD pain I was taking 5-6 a day; now I am down to 1 a day thank goodness. I learned to eat " soft " stuff, and that also helps to keep my TMD pain away (which is pain that originates around the jaw joint and " migrates " up into your facial muscles -- at the worst of it, it even felt like the pain was INSIDE my cheekbone). Worse pain I have ever felt. --Diane -----Original Message----- From: Joanne <portlandc@...> I've been on Lexapro for about a year now(10mg.) I also take Fiorocet(as needed) for migraine headaches. Guest guest
www.drugs.com is a great site to check for drug interactions and it says you shouldn't take NSAIDS with Lexapro so I haven't started the Lex because I NEED my ibuprofen for FM and arthritis pain.
