Guest guest
I don't think it would matter too much. I sometimes forget to take my Lex in the morning, and take it in the afternoon instead... and it doesn't seem to make any difference at all (at least to MY body). But then, I've been taking Lex for 6 months and my body is used to it. Your desire to sleep all the time could be a result of depression that's come on due to the latest revelations of past abuse. You have a good therapist, I hope? That would be the person to ask. But I know when I'm super depressed all I want to do is sleep. It's the body's avoidance strategy: instead of being awake and thinking about the problem, your body seeks to protect itself by not thinking about the issue by going to sleep! --Diane --- Cassandra <cassro1014@...> wrote: > I am a little naive, I guess, when it comes to > drugs. Guest guest
Thank you Diane. I think that my therapist is ok...he isn't the best. But- I like him and feel comfortable around him. The problem is that my sister comes with me and she controls most of the time. But, she is getting a little better...because I keep having to have talks with her. Guest guest
Cassandra, Lexapro will make you real tired the first month or so. I take mine at 9pm. It helps me to sleep, then by the time I wake up the groggy feeling is pretty much worn off. The best way to change dosing times is instead of taking it at 10am, one day take it at noon, then the next day 3pm, the next day 6pm.... and so on, until you work your way to the time you'd like to take it!! You might be a little more depressed lately considering some old issues coming up .. and that can wear you down also. I think you should have the therapist to yourself for a while, maybe your sister could take turns every other appointment!! Try taking a bath at night or a nice walk... It helps Good luck! -Jodi --- InLexapro , " Cassandra " <cassro1014@y...> wrote: > I am a little naive, I guess, when it comes to drugs. Guest guest
Sorry to hear all that Casey, Yes, you can (and should) switch to a PM dose. I take it about 6 pm. Go for it.
