Guest guest
It was only base that I took. Apparently its the main ingredient in speed. There was no major effect. Far from what youd expect from a street drug. What it did for a few hours was energise me slightly and made me feel better emotionally. But it was far from the euphoria I needed. And thats it, I cant afford any of these extra street drugs so Im stuck. Soon I will run out of pot and thats when the real trouble will begin, as I will be a 100 times worse. Every time I cant get the good pot I end up in the mental hospital because I tend to become somewhat suicidal and even homicidal. jaw clenching Hi there...I have been on Lexapro for 3 weeks. Guest guest
I feel I cant go on much longer. I swear I could fucken kill someone over the loneliness Ive felt over the last 10 years! 10 years without a single date! All I care about in this world is women/love and thats what Ive been completely deprived of all these years. And yeah, forget the screwed-up upbringing that made me this way. jaw clenching Hi there...I have been on Lexapro for 3 weeks. It seems to have finaly kicked in today. Guest guest
we haven't heard from you in a while. I am guessing from your post you are not doing well? So you decided to get off of the Lex and take the ice/crank? <rroobbeerrtt@...> wrote: It ends when you get off the crank..............lol Im losing it......... jaw clenching Hi there...I have been on Lexapro for 3 weeks. Guest guest
I'd ignore the crank reference. I haven't heard that term since my locker room days in school. I don't think that was appropriate. sophia solorio <sophiasolorio@...> wrote: What is crank? Guest guest
No , treating anxiety with any use of stimulants like crank(speed) would be like getting a job as an airtraffic controler or eating 4 chocolate cakes to cure diabetes. No thanks. > > It ends when you get off the crank..............lol > Im losing it......... > > jaw clenching > > > Hi there...I have been on Lexapro for 3 weeks. Guest guest
Im fat. Women dont find me attractive anymore. I cant get a foot in. Im 6'3 but I weigh 260. Its pretty much pointless going to places to meet women. I cant go with just anyone, there has to be attraction. Im quiet and shy especially at first so all that stands out in first impressions is that Im just this fat guy. jaw clenching > > Hi there...I have been on Lexapro for 3 weeks. Guest guest
Yeah it might have such a hold on me but its whats kept me alive all these years. Without it I would never have coped. I cant go to rehab because my parents would kill me and cut me off if they found out I was taking drugs. Im out of options and in a day or so I will become very unstable when the good pot runs out. Yes I look forward to the depression and constant crying and rage. jaw clenching > > Hi there...I have been on Lexapro for 3 weeks. It > seems to have finaly > kicked in today. Guest guest
, It's very important you seek a Dr. ASAP. I use to have suicide thoughts, however I was drinking at the time, trying to cover my depression. I stopped alcohol over 3 years ago, and went for help. I am ok now. Using drugs to cover your depression is only making things worse and until you stop, your misery will go on. Please, seek a Dr. for help. Suzi Your right, but theyre too few are far between. No ones gets to see me inside because they cant get past the fat appearance. Tomorrow Im thinking of killing myself. I really dont give an f anymore. My mother given me a life of misery, why the f should I hang around for her. jaw clenching > > Hi there...I have been on Lexapro for 3 weeks. It > seems to have finaly > kicked in today. Guest guest
That's how much I'm on for at least three weeks now. We shall see. Mark ajm822000 <amym@...> wrote: Only 10 mg. per day. Guest guest
That's a fairly common side of Celexa....Lexapro is supposed to better about not causing this side effect. How long have you been on the Lex and what dose are you at? Try drinking alot of water. That helps with most of the sides. Guest guest
Maybe Lex isn't the drug for you. After this much time on that amount you should be past the sides. Talk to your doctor. If you really need an SSRI just forgeting it is not going to help you in the long run...only prolong the amount of time you feel bad. :-( Barbara Re: jaw clenching Only 10 mg. per day. Guest guest
hi group i not only get the jaw clenching but i am right with you on the famiyl deal. i also could have written much of what you all have been writing. thats pretty interesting and to me suggests that our issues are NOT just chemical. I have been in this group almost 2 years and I am no longer on lex now so have not posted in a long LONG time. I am still a member cause lex is the only AD I've really tried long term the rest i could not take and quit in 2-6 weeks. I am still thinking of going back on it but trying higher dose . anyone on 15 or 20 mg here?anyhow i am VERY medication sensitive & Lexapro i could sort of handle ( with side effects like insomnia, jaw clenching, and sometimes actual increase in my anxiety) I was on it for panic, a form of PTSd, GAD , deperession, and agoraphobia. is that enough? well apparently its not enough as i am dual DX myself as some of you mentioned. ( well i just mentioned 5 things here ) btu i mean dual in the sense that i also have medical problems with my spine which makes for some real confusing stuff going on especially when the doctors do not get what is going on ( like my pain doctor does not GET my anxiety issue and the significant role it plays) they say i need surgery and pain guy threatens to withdraw treatment cause he says surgery. 4 surgeons say no surgery until i have anxiety under better control in major pain which increases anxiety making me less and less on the dealing with it side and more on the it's increasing side Pain doctor does not GET IT. if he wants me to get surgery he needs to treat my pain to help me deal with the anxiety so i get the surgeons ok. worst of it is the surgeon and reg MDs act like i can just " get rid " of my anxiety and even give it a time frame. makes NO sense. and increase anxiety. anyhow this is like a whole OT post. Sorry this came up cause I keep getting the digest from the group in my in box and seeing stuff i relate to like the doctors beign confused, the famiyl issues, the jaw clenching ..the who el deal so Just trying to say i soooo relate. I Was on 10 mg lexapro..tried paxil, prozac and now cymbalta . lexapro still was the best btu never helped enough and i think it caused me a serous weight gain issue ( still testing that theory cause i am just off BUT i ate less and less i gained and gained. no doctor believes me i do not eat. i cannot many times die to my health and while the agoraphobia has me out side less, and the back had me moving round a little less i am anything but sedentary cause the anxiety keeps me moving. ALison ps sorry for any typos. i hope you will bare withe as it causes me great pain to type and also i am loosing feeling in my fingers due to my spine ( or so they think btu its a nerve deal that is giving me psych type nerves.. i have problems with both types of nerves LOL)
Guest guest
First, I am grateful for this group. All of you are compassionate and intelligent. This is such a nonthreatening venue filled with good people. says our problems are more than just chemical. It may not be true for some but I agree with her for the most part. Children learn very young how they are " valued " by others. The jaw clenching is such a wee problem compared to some listed here, I almost didn't bring it up but am so glad for those of you who replied. I'll try drinking more water - already do quite a bit. Wonder if a B complex would help, we probably should be taking those any way. Also, on this drug I have increased appetite and hot flashes. Nothing yet that's worse than the anxiety and dysthmia that I had before the lex, but am considering trying a new one. Love and prayers to all. > > hi group i not only get the jaw clenching but i am right with you on the > famiyl deal. i also could have written much of what you all have been > writing. thats pretty interesting and to me suggests that our issues are > NOT just chemical. > > I have been in this group almost 2 years and I am no longer on lex now so > have not posted in a long LONG time. Guest guest
Hi (again) - I took 10 mg for six weeks, then up to 15 mg for the last four days, as per doctor's prescription. I have a sore jaw most days, as well, and it seems, the occassional tightening of muscles everywhere - feels maybe just as if I spoke too much, or perhaps over exercised so part of me. I also get headaches, but oddly, in the back of my head only. The below letter caught me ear, but I was also experiencing a kind of hot-flash and sweatiness, but it is unclear whether that is me or the medicine, but so far, the 15mg has so far curbed that right down. I find this general puzzle. I am new to medicine, not only lexapro, but medince of nearly any kind but aspirin. Once I began lexapro I found I had no real way to discern whether it was the medicine or my body speaking when something felt a little out of place. But apart from this, this drug has for these past weeks taken me out of a dark and lonely box that I lived in for years, and that is a wonderful thing. May it last a while yet ... Peace, > > > > hi group i not only get the jaw clenching but i am right with you > on the > > famiyl deal. i also could have written much of what you all have > been > > writing. thats pretty interesting and to me suggests that our > issues are > > NOT just chemical. > > > > I have been in this group almost 2 years and I am no longer on lex > now so > > have not posted in a long LONG time. Guest guest
The hot flash sensation and the sweating are known sides of the Lexapro. As is the jaw clenching. Some people have such a problem with the clenching they have to use a mouth guard at night.
