I wonder if its the lex or valium making so tired. I feel like i'm on a rollercoaster.. one minute i'm full of energy and the next i just want to sleep. My husband just bought me a treadmill and i'm thinking the 45 minutes of excersie per day will help me obtain more energy.. is there anyone else here on 30 mg's of valium per day ? Guest guest Posted June 22, 2004 Report Share Posted June 22, 2004 Hi, about two months ago I was on 15mg of lexapro and 10 to 20 mg of valium per day. Valium is a slow acting but very strong sedative used for anything from panic disorders to muscle spasm control and irretractable seizures. I was taking valium at those levels above for some anxiety and bruxism and was taking it at night. It made me quite groggy in the morning so I can only imagine what it does for you when you take it 3x a day. While I am not an MD, My suggestion would be to speak to your doctor about decreasing the valium to 5mg 3 x a day or 10mg in the morning and 10mg at night. It has a very long half life so taking it bid (2x) may work.
