Lexapro question

Hi guys,

I got my bottle of Lex from the Pharmacy, and just because

I am such a worry wart, can someone please tell me what the

tablets look like? Mine are 10 mgs... I think I'll start at 5 mgs

or maybe even half that... if somebody can describe the tabs

to me, I'd be really appreciative! I have never seen what they

are supposed to look like, and you know how there have been

lots of mess ups with the pharmacies giving out the wrong drug

and all. A couple of years ago in my neighboring town a woman

died because she was given the wrong med... :(

Thanks!!

Crystal

PS: You know what else, they didn't put a side effect profile

on the info sheet that they give out, weird. They always have

that info. I guess I'll give them a call, I like to see what s/e's

they put down...

Thank you Jolene! Mine have 10 mgs on one side, and on the other it has F/L

I always like to know exactly what my med is supposed to look like, LOL

Hugs,

Thanks Bob! I already went over the Lex site lots, I just find it interesting as

to exactly which sides the Pharmacies

list on their info sheet, ya know what I mean? It can be quite different. I plan

on going to ask if they made a mistake.

I was kinda wishful thinking that they didn't put any sides there because they

aren't so bad at all, LOL!! one can dream!

anyway, thanks for the info. I just woke up from a short snooze, so I hope I'm

not confusing here...

Try here : http://www.lexapro.com/home/default.asp

My pharmarcy (Target) does include a full list about Lex, including a list

of the (many) sides it can cause. Next time you're back at your pharmacy,

I'd definitely ask for it.

Good luck,

The sides aren't that bad (or I should say others can be worse) and

what there is (for me) seemed to fade pretty much after the first

couple weeks. I changed from taking at night until the morning

because it did affect my sleep habits and then being over-tired

caused me other problems, but you'll have to decide what's best for

you. This group is great support, so keep asking and we'll keep

answering....

, I did get alprazolam (xanax) at the same time, and they included the

sides on a sheet for that,

but the sheet they had for the Lexapro was blank, except for the dosage. If a

customer wants we can

request more info whenever we'd like. I will go and clear it up. Like I said, I

was really just wishful

thinking, LOL ...my pharmacy is Stop and Shop...
