It seems this new drug is making me feel tired and really zoned out an hour after taking it...and I've noticed a dull to mild headache too...around my eyes...I've decided that when I need to go to work soon I'm not gonna take the Lexapro until after I get home....I don't wanna feel like a zombie at work. Anyone else feeling like this?--~~Shelvira~~Shelvira2002@...My Outgoing mail was Scanned with Norton's Antivirus 2002

yes, I stared taking it on Monday (today is Wednesday) and yesterday I spent the whole day in bed. I have zero energy.

I had been on Celexa for 4 weeks. I sure hope this fatigue goes away soon.>>> JoviGirl89@... 09/17/02 05:27PM >>>It seems this new drug is making me feel tired and really zoned out an hour after taking it...and I've noticed a dull to mild headache too...around my eyes...I've decided that when I need to go to work soon I'm not gonna take the Lexapro until after I get home....I don't wanna feel like a zombie at work. Hi you guys. I am not on Lexapro, but I am still on Celexa. Have you

thought of taking the Lexapro at nite? That is how I take Celexa. I

think you would sleep thru the main tiredness. Just a thought.

I am hoping to see the results you all get on Lexapro, and then see

what my p.doc suggests...if I should switch.

Meanwhile, I will keep reading how you all do.

Good Luck,

dagmar

I was told that the tiredness I was feeling was do to starting a new medication....It's been a week for me now and I'm doing great on this drug now...no more tiredness. I'm the old me again! I really can't believe this medicine has changed my life in only a week.

Shelvira~~

My best friend from College Days, is starting Lexapro next week. She

has never been on an AD. She is very apprehensive. Your success so

far is amazing. How much lexapro are you on?

Have you ever been on any other med.? You could be such a help to my

friend. She is not going to read the site,,, till she has been on the

medicine for alittle while. " I am her ears here " ...so can you tell me

what your diagnosis was before the Lexapro and some of your symptoms?

I have already read your success to her over the phone.

Thanks for more information about you....if you feel comfortable.

I'll tell yeah I've become the spokes person for Lexapro and therapy this week, that's how great I feel....I started therapy in April...been going weekly and have been feeling awful.....Aggravated, irritated, miserable to myself and everyone around me, Guilt...just the whole depressed state....Also with anxiety and being scared shitless to look for a job since I've been a Stay at home mom for the past 6 years.....I did take a month off therapy because of the kids being home in the summer and the anxiety of getting to my session so I just went back on Sept 5.......I've been on PAXIL for my anxiety and depression since about May...It helped my anxiety but didn't touch my depression....my therapist gave me the BECK test on Sept 12 to rate my depression and I was diagnosed to be Severe Clinical.....That shocked the hell out of me...I didn't think I was that bad......So she mentioned CELEXA.....I had never been on anything before besides PAXIL(which I am still on and taking with Lexapro)....and so instead they gave me LEXAPRO........I'm on 10mg and it has changed my life and I feel like ME again.......I felt the effects the first day...I was tired for a few days but that went away by day 5 and since Tuesday I've been going after this job I want & need where before I didn't even have the confidence to turn in the application! As soon as I got the meds I came to to look for a group and I'm so happy to be apart of this and to be sharing my experiences with you all...I hope someone else has the same benefits I've had......I really can't even think negative at this point! It's awesome

Wow, you sound great! I know what you mean. The celexa was the first drug like that I've *ever* taken and at first, the first couple three months I wanted to quit it so many times but all of a sudden it kicked in or something. It really is as close to a miracle drug (celexa and lexapro) for depression as we have IMO.

BTW..I've been cleaning house from top to bottom. Which is something I haven't done since we moved in here a year ago. Before I was lucky if my TP made it onto the holder instead of being left to sit on the vanity. O.O
