Guest guest
It's this attitude that we have all somehow behaved irresponsibly and carelessly that is wrong! EVERY American has either consumed food or used a product containing ethanol within the past 24-48 hours. And unless they're caught up in the problems surrounding EtG, they had no idea. It's no wonder, when confronted with a positive EtG test, you come up with some obscure item that contained alcohol. And the board uses that to induce guilt and further shame us? We've heard it before--imported salami, turkey sandwich, chocolate covered strawberries, mushroom appetizers, chicken wings--That's just WRONG! That's not what abstinence is about!! cheesecake may have caused positive etg I found out that the Godiva Chocolate Cheescake at The Cheesecake Factory is made with Bourbon and Tahitian vanilla extract (35% alcohol). Who would have thought that chocolate cheesecake has vanilla extract in it. When I told my case manager about it she said that "the board wanted to send me a message that people in recovery need to be careful what they take into their bodies and those in diversion need to be especially careful". What happened to the "public safety" reason for suspending me? Has anyone had any success in challenging board decisions from a legal standpoint? If anyone knows of an attorney who has experience with this and lives in San Diego, let me know.
Guest guest
Any dessert made with eggs, regardless flavor, most likely will have vanilla extract, it smoothes the flavor of the yolk. If you get drunk on Friday, sober Sat, and have a glass of wine on Sunday at a family dinner, you are no more a threat to public than the public itself come Monday morning. This is control, period, and while you may not take Madison's little off topic subject matter seriosly, this all stems from a prohibisionist agenda. It used to be illegal for one to consume liquor, today, more and more are put in a position where it is illegal to be anywhere near alcohol, and many of us it doen't matter what type of! Prohibition on a new level, look at how the AMA originally claimed .14 people showed signs of intoxication, then the Government asked again, Oh, it is .10, then the Federal Government extorted all 50 states into .08. Seventeen states refused claiming that the "Alcohol Related" fatalities would not decrease with the new law and challenged the research stating this, yet these states as promised were refused highway funds, and today even the second largest neo-probs in the country NHTSA stated," Alcohol-related occupant fatalities [in 2002]—up a total of 3%, and it’s all comingout of the high-BAC data source. In fact, it’s high BAC despite the reduction oflow BACs."3Dr. , Director of Impaired Driving & Occupant Protection Divisionof the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).Marcellus
Guest guest
---You are absolutely right marcellus. This has nothing to do with " protecting the public " and everything to do with the pushing of a moral agenda on everyone. This ETG test is just another step in the agenda to eventually outlaw alcohol. We have seen this with other things as well. Take the smoking bans. I have been screaming for years that no matter what limits they put on public smoking it will never be enough for the zealots. Because it is NOT about public health and safety but about forging ahead with their moral agenda. We now see them taking on gambling and obesity. For those of you who are overweight, make no mistake about it, they are after you as well. Of course this is ALL for the children! They claim that they do this to keep these vices out of the hands of children, but it is to make everyone conform to their belief system. " The state must declare the child to be the most precious treasure of the people. As long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of the children, the people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation " Adolph Hitler This is evidenced by the fact that as we sit on the brink of a World War, Congress is concerning themselves whether or not people take pain medication appropriately. They are scared to death that someone may take it for the " psychoactive properties " . http://reform.house.gov/CJDPHR/Hearings/EventSingle.aspx? Guest guest
Lorie, I am new to this forum,I have not sighned the IPN in Florida contract yet. I am expeting to recieve it next week. I am curious about the EtG testing. Is this performed on every UDS? I am curious to what else they test for all I am reading about is ETOH. I am having a hard time understanding how an organization can restrict foods and over the counter medicine. If you were to get a cold what would you take!!!! I am under the impression that we are not allowed to have andy type of OTC cold medicine or herbal supplements. I am wondering if this is the right thing for me to do. I would be greatful for any feed back. Thanks in advance --------- cheesecake may have caused positive etg I found out that the Godiva Chocolate Cheescake at The Cheesecake Factory is made with Bourbon and Tahitian vanilla extract (35% alcohol).
