Guest guest
Hi I took Clonidine in a 1 mg dose 2 times per day when my normally low blood pressure went beserk (high and erratic)on Lexapro. I thought it was a high blood pressure med. I do know that in higher doses, it can add to depression and It did bring my pressure back to normal in a hurry! Lots of luck and hold on...it will subside! I hate to recommend it because of the sides it had on me with really large weight gain, but maybe ask about Remeron...It did make me sleep! jeff > Hi Every one-- > I have been experiencing severe anxiety and my doctor wants to put me > on a beta blocker called Clonidine. Guest guest
, I want you,and the others to know about beta blockers.Whenever you start taking a beta blocker, you cannot stop taken it abruptly. You have to taper it.If you just stop it,you could havea stroak(sp).Keep that in mind. I`m on a beta blocker for my bp. den > Hi Every one-- > I have been experiencing severe anxiety and my doctor wants to put me > on a beta blocker called Clonidine. Guest guest
Hi , i was put on Clonidine to help with the withdrawl's of alcohol, and it did a good job. I had never had high blood pressure in my life till I tapered off of it. Just today I got a new med for high blood pressure, we are talking 202/104 in the evenings. The Drs. can't figure our why I have high blood pressure now, but it never happened till I started the Clonidine, be carefull.... > Hi Every one-- > I have been experiencing severe anxiety and my doctor wants to put me > on a beta blocker called Clonidine. Guest guest
WOW !!!!!!! This was extremely interesting Brynn. I have been cycling every 6 days and I have been trying to get my stablize my mood. I have identified most of my triggers but sometimes I just cycle. My shrink is leaning towards Bipolar and I am resisting that as I don't go into the manic state. I was given the choice of going onto Lamactol but I chose the Pamelor as I have a history with it easing the panic and extreme anxiety which it abruptly stopped. However, I am still struggling with my moods. I heard that Lamactol is in the same family of Lithium. Now Lithium was wonderful for my mind but I could not tolerate the sides. Wondering how the sides for Lamactol are, have you been on Lamactol? When you mentioned that the chemicles go up and down, this sounds like what is being reflected on my mood chart and where sometimes I can ascertain the triggers most of the times I can't. I also have ADD and OCD. I was considering taking the Strattera but am just afraid of too much medication overload, LOL. What has been your experience on Strattera. By the way, could you share what meds you are on ???
