Guest guest
Well please get an ets every time you have an etg. That is your best protection right now. I'm sorry if I sounded harsh. I think we know enough about this test to head off or prevent damage. I also know Lorie is very intelligent and can see the truth of things very well. I am convinced that Lorie could be a success and make as much money as she wants in any field of endeavor. Treatment for her is inappropraite. Re: insanity I think that's a little harsh Dr.dan. Lori needs some time to regain her thoughts, and lick her wounds, then I am sure she will once again be strong. Personally, I think inpatient rehab is a bad idea, simply because it forces you to "admit" to a problem you don't have, and the basic tenant of recovery is "Rigorous Honesty." That having been said, I cannot and will not judge her or anyone else here, as I can't say what I will do if and when I am faced with the choice of that or loosing my license. I did choose to leave diversion rather than going the inpatient route, but I had hopes that before I was faced with probation the EtG nightmare would be resolved....and here we are, my probation starts 12/29, I will have to submit to EtG, and the only backup I have is that my PMD has left a standing order for a blood ETOH each time I test. I realize it will not satisfy the BRN, but it is all we could come up with. -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: "danramo" <danramo@...> > Doing the same thing and expecting a different result is the definition > of insanity. Guest guest
Would you recommend an independent ETS each time? Are they offered at most labs, and what is the general cost if you know. I will be paying not only the appx $60 a pop for the BRN test but also for the independent test. All this on a nurses salary that is only as reliable as the EtG test!! --------- Re: insanity > > > > I think that's a little harsh Dr.dan. Guest guest
Liz, You can contact US Drug Testing Lab (http://www.usdtl.com/contactus.html). They offer a dual EtG/EtS assay. When I did it two years ago, it was about $80 a test, as I recall. For me, the positive EtG's that I experienced while in an inpatient setting were also positive for EtS. So it appears that the EtS would not help my situation. Lorie --------- Re: insanity> > > > I think that's a little harsh Dr.dan. Guest guest
sulfation and glucuronidation biochemical pathways are twinned anaerobic biochemical pathways so lorie is right for most EtS will follow EtG therefore not vindicating.%CDT a different biomarker is federally approved with the best track record.regards,rsaclorie@... wrote: Liz, You can contact US Drug Testing Lab (http://www.usdtl.com/contactus.html). Guest guest
glucuronidation and sulfation are twinned pathways frequently produce similar false positive. %CDT federally approved different pathway better backup test...regards,mslizrn@... wrote: Would you recommend an independent ETS each time? Guest guest
What is the name of the most accurate test? --------- Re: insanity > > > > > > > > I think that's a little harsh Dr.dan.
