Guest guest
Hi Terri, Been worried about you... Was going to put a call out to you and Colleen!!! So Glad that you are OK!!! So Sorry to hear of your relatives in harms way... Yes, Prayers are coming for all the folks in and around Hallam... They already started when I heard about the tragic tornado hitting their town... ( Will your children be finishing school in the churches or other buildings in your town??? Or are they letting them out for the summer??? PLEASE keep us posted as to how things are going your way... I thought I remembered you were in tornado alley... Please take care and Prayers are coming your way to you and yours... How are YOU doing??? All cancer scares gone??? Take care my friend and stay safe... ((( Safe Hugs ))) Love Helen PS. I Love your Charm Bracelet!!! Thats adorable!!! Kansas checking in here. Having tornado warnings and watches all over around here but so far, we haven't even gotten any rain. However, the tornados that hit in Nebraska on Saturday were within 5 miles of where my mom lives. A little town of Hallam (population 300) was pretty much totally destroyed. They are saying 95% of the homes are gone as well as most of the businesses and churches. It is so sad. Also, the school that my children attended (Norris High in Nebraska) was almost totally destroyed. They are saying now because of all the damage, they may just have to bulldoze down the high school. My ex mother in law is still without power. They got her a generator to keep the freezers going but she has no water as they are on well water. Please say prayers for all these people. One person died in Hallam due to the storms. Terri B angelbear1129@...One wordfrees us of all the weight and pain of life: That word is,Love! Guest guest
I'm Very Thankful that school was out!!! Thank God the children weren't there... If they have to rebuild the school , that could take a year to do ( Losing a town is so sad ( Will keep your daughter and you in my Prayers... So much now a days they are proving is hereditary ( Keep us posted... A move, is tiring... Don't forget to REST as best as ya can... South Dakota, you'll get more snow than where you are now, won't ya??? Tell happy birthday for me, I'll send him a pretty... I would love to have something like your bracelet... That is so beautiful... Keep us posted... Now REST my friend... Tomorrows another day... ((( Resting Hugs ))) Helen My kids have all graduated from high school. Not sure what they are going to do if the high school can't be repaired in time for the new school year. They had just let out for the summer the day before. I'm sure they will find a way even if they have to bring in portable class rooms. Yes, the damage is devastating. My sister was explaining to me what all was gone...the Legion Hall, the church, the bank, post office and so many of the homes. So many people are facing a huge burden in their lives. I kept in contact with my mom as much as I could during it all. I'm doing pretty good. Have to go in and have a blood draw done. My daughter however, has managed to inherit my thyroid problems. She had a biopsy a week ago and is now having a scan to determine whether or not she will have to have surgery or not. Will be making a move away from Kansas in about two weeks. My husband got a job transfer to Sioux Falls SD. Not so sure i am going to like living further north or not but... our house is sold and we finally found a house in Sioux Falls. Been busy packing and taking care of , who by the way, turned six today. Feel like I've got a ton to do and very little time to do it in. Just want to get the move over and done with. Hope all are doing well. Oh, the charm was made by my daughter. If anyone would like something similar, she will gladly do them. terri b
