Guest guest
agree wirh lorie, julie, overall very little data on all of this...bottom line anything that presents more etoh to the liver to conjugate with glucuronide will increase etg...everything you mention could do this in theory...a couple of other thoughts for you... the specific gravity of a urine is always done...it is used to see if it is a dilute sample but it will also show a concentrated sample even if a creatinine is not done... last thought, if you have had a recent CBC,the mean corpuscular volume(MCV)...if normal use to refute etg...regards,r Link to losing weight: There have been a few people who have had problems with positives who have had gastric bypass surgery on this site. Whether there's a statistically significant correlation...I don't know. Nobody's keeping any stats. Seems possible, with altered GI absorption, changes in bacterial flora and possible endogenous alcohol production. Just a guess? Link to diabetes: Don't know about this one. Concentrated urine with EtG: There are at least 4 major EtG publications that recommend normalizing EtG level for creatinine (urine concentration). In CA, I don't think anybody's doing it. The lab tells me they can't do it--SAMHSA doesn't allow it. I suppose it's the MRO's job. I know it would have cut my level in half. I suppose my board, like yours, would argue that positive is positive, so why bother normalizing the level. If my 1100 had been cut in half, perhaps I would not have been suspended all this time and incurred the staggering legal fees that I am! Fwd: Fwd: Re: Re: Foods and cleaning items I have heard people talking about a link with losing weight, diabetes, and concentrated urine with positive etg. When I mention this to the diversion board the said the only way it could be positive is I ingested alcohol.saveh99 <gsxrn99sbcglobal (DOT) net> wrote: Go figure. I have been using IP instead of aftersha pending result from last Thursday. My last positive was a 260 on the third day of a fast and no bathing other than the ocean. I was taking 1 gm. of Tylenol nightly though. I have been living on unseasoned foods and almost no hygiene products for over a year. I havent eaten any foods prepared by others. My Wife thinks that I use the cleaning product exposues as an excuse not to do any honeydoos.
