Guest guest
the agreement reads exactly as follows: "avoid all products containing alcohol including over-the-counter medications (cough syrup), mouthwash, hygiene products, topical gels or medications, foods containing alcohol (e.g. vanilla extraxt, desserts),etc...." There was no list attached and I am NOT about to ask my CM for one either. I did put down in bold lettes that I have gestational diabetes and test my glucose and take insulin throughout they day, so I use alcohol wipes for that... The agreement I signed was only 2 pages, not the 45 page novel I signed when I entered the VRP a few years ago and this document was revised in june 2006, so I'm not sure if PA is going to use the etg test on me or not, but I'm not taking any chances and plan on reading every label of every food/beverage I consume. What a pain in the rear.... --------- Re: they took that graph off fo the firstlab "EtG guidance" thjng yup, my I agreement that i just signed states that i am to obstain from using any product that contains etoh, including all hygiene and household products. Guest guest
--- I am a health care professional, who will no longer use hand sanitizer. The dispensers are located in each patients room, and the utility rooms as well. They are all over the hospital that I work in, and I am scared to death of testing positive. I definately miss as much time at work as possible to avoid the possible inhallation of the alcohol contained in the sanitizer. I am also afraid of the alcohol swabs we use to draw blood, and start iv's. Suddenly I am terrified of a career that I worked so hard to get to. It is terribly unfair to all of us. Fortunately I am on the last leg of my nightmare, I wish you all the very best. Guest guest
This is F---king ridiculous - maybe they should give us a list of what we can use. I already saw on a link posted here a while ago a list of household products with alcohol in them - it's 10 pages long for christ sake!! Guest guest
---, Who is this Knipe? I saw his name in the WSJ. Is he a sobriety enforcer? And if he is, does he really believe what he said about avoiding " all " exposure or is he just ignorant? Does he have penis envy perhaps? Little man syndrome? There has to be a reason he believes that using hand sanitizer or putting gas in your car will lead you to death and destruction with devil drink. Maybe he's just stupid, I don't know. That is probably the explination given the fact that he sounds like a typical government worker. Anyway, have you ever received any justice since that article came out? And where is Dr. Dan? Guest guest
> > is the program manager - of our PA professional health monitoring / voluntary recovery program You're joking, right? " Voluntary recovery " ? Did you " volunteer " to scrutinize the labels of every single product you encounter with a magnifying glass? And, people, those labels are *not* kind to aging eyes! I had to stand under a really bright light in the health food store and squint like a demon at the ingredients on a bottle of body lotion before I spotted the " SD 40 " , and returned it to the shelf. Is Orwell somehow involved in your monitoring program?
