Hi Terry

You sound like you have a terrific attitude toward your eye colors.

I think its really great to be in a support group and know you're

far from the only one with Heterochromatica.

Congrats on you and your Aussie winning the most alike owner, pet pair.

Is your dog a blue merle. Different colored eyes are pretty common

blue merle dogs no matter what breed it is. Deafness is also common.

Different colored eyes and deafness can be signs of Waardenburg.

I know since I inherited the syndrome from my father. Read alot on it.

So what I'm saying it may not be coincidental you two won the awards.

Hello, !

Yes, Shadow is a blue merle but she has very keen hearing. I don't

have any symptoms of Waardenburg other than the eye color and no one

in the family's history that we know of had it, either.

Being an artist, I was always the " odd one " in the family, anyway.

Everyone just chalked up my unusual eyes to the fact that I was

different. :o)

I've been telling lots of people about finding this group and how much

I've enjoyed reading everyone's stories. I'm thinking about designing

some heterochromia t-shirts on Cafe Press. I'll let you all know if

that gets done.

Wonderful day, all!
