She too went to the doctor got the meds for it. But it took about a week for it to get to the controllable stage. Hers were on her back and stomach. I would hate to think what they would be like in the mouth. Ouchie!!! Bless your heart. I hope you have a good blender so that you can make the food soft. Lots of pudding and broth should help. As luck would have it, I picked up a handout at the drug store while waiting for my prescription. It says that older people are more likely to get shingles. Go figger!! As if just getting old isn't hard enough. lol Anyway, herpies, chicken pox and shingles are all in the same group of viruses. I've had this in my mouth and nose and even in my eye before.
