Guest guest
I was sleeved on May 11th. I was a " lightweight " and was 192.4 the day of surgery. The first 3 to 1/2 weeks I lost an amazing 21 pounds, however after that, I have lost three pounds. I'm not exactly sure since I stopped weighing myself on a daily basis. I have logged all of my food and am eating around 600 calories a day, protein 60 to 70 grams a day, carbs under 30 (under 40 when I have lentils) and have been doing light cardio. From what I have read when we are on very low calorie diets, our bodies lose a great deal of weight at the beginning, but eventually, as our body weight decreases, our bodies go into starvation mode and weight loss becomes very difficult. I think that's what's happening to me. I was advised to eat 5 times a day instead of three and up my calories to 700 to 800. Any suggestions on how to trick by body into not thinking that it's starving? If we ever have a famine here, I know I'd be the last one standing. I guess that's a good thing, evolutionaryally (is that a word?) speaking, but it's annoying. I think going back to weight training would help, but I'm not cleared yet. Any suggestions other than patience? Thanks Deborah
