LOL Habits are hard to break. My son just brought in a nice pepsi glass he got at the movies with a nice close spout on it. Of course I kept it too. I'll store it all up until I start to run out of space again then I'll clean house. I just got rid of a slew of things back when we was remodeling the kitchen. I had stuff piled in my living room from the kitchen for months. But I guess really it is only clutter if you don't use it and we do use these believe it or not. Quite often actually.

Hi Jill, I am sorry to hear of your sleeping problems. I have found that ice packs on my lower back help with the muscle spams and night pain. Also I take 2 Motrin 800 before bed every night. Take care, SheilaJill <jill@...> wrote: I have more questions! I was thinking about my sad, pathetic shoes today. I don't spend much on them and maybe that's a problem. Do you find that wearing better, super-supported comfortable shoes makes a difference to how your back feels? Also, I am up 5

times a night with pain, especially in my hips, as I can only sleep on my sides. I have peeked at the matresses link, but are there any other suggestions about getting comfortable at night? I can't afford a whole new matress right now. And how about a "posture support" brace? I know that something like that won't cure us, but will it help? My muscles ache from being bent over all day. And if there is anything else ya'll can throw out that might be of use to me, I would be VERY appreciative.Jill

Jill,

While this isn't a long-term solution, are you on any pain meds to

help you sleep? Have you tried putting a pillow between your legs

when you sleep on your side? That was the only way I could sleep

halfway comfortably for a couple of years before my revision.

As far as the shoes go - I am mostly in a wheelchair now, but when I

was still walking, good supportive shoes made a really big in how I

felt. They don't have to be super expensive, but they needed to be

supportive. I worked in a lab where I didn't have to dress up, then

I taught college and was pregnant for most of the time, so I didn't

feel like dressing up :) So I usually wore gym shoes. You can find

nicer looking shoes though that have good supports and are

comfortable.

Hi, .

Dealing with medication issues is probably the worst aspect of my various

issues. I have multiple other issues on top of SpA (asthma that requires three

meds now instead of five, meds to prevent recurring nasal polyps, cornea

transplant, seizures/migraines). Medicare part D keeps deciding that I don't

" need " this or that med or that this or that other med (which stopped working

for me long ago) is better for me. Of course, I find this out when I go to

refill meds--almost always in the evening when my doctor is off the next day.

Sometimes I would really like to wring wthe person's neck who came up with this

managed care stuff and ask them if they've ever had to live without medications

they need. And people wonder why I am moody and dramatic!

Dear Friends and Family,

Well another year has gone by for me and again it's my sweethearts birthday

and we are not together! He works down state Tues,Wed, and Thurs. so he is going

to celebrate with our oldest son Bill II and his family. The youngest grand kids

made him a cake ( III and Brynn) so he will have that.I am sad that once

again I can't be with him on his special day, because he is my hero and the love

of my life.We have been together 43 years and married almost 39.He has never

complained about me having Stills and he still calls when he isn't here to tell

me to take my meds and shots. He has been doing it for 15 years. When so many

relationships fail because of the strain of dealing with the dragon, our love

just seems to get stronger,I am truely blessed. Thanks for listening,I just felt

I had to pay tribute to my wonderful man, and who better to share with than my

Stills Family.

Welcome home Jen,you have been missed.I hope you are at last enjoying

life.Congrats Melt on surviving 30 years and still being so kind and loving to

everyone else at the expense of yourself sometimes.Marty I have been praying non

stop for your Mom, keep us updated.

Love Always Elly

I feel like a lot of inches have come off as well but me and my crazy self didnt measure....but im goin to do that this week and keep up with that also. I was just wondering about the protein shots. Has anyone tried them? Are they ok to drink? I can tolerate them pretty well better actually than the shakes. Also just wondering af anyone has trouble or had trouble with there stomach upsetting really easily? Any advice for this new sleeve sister.
