Guest guest
Hi Chrysi, Congratulations to you! I never doubted that this wouldn't happen. It is always such a pleasure to see people dropping the pounds. Don't wait too long to try some of your clothing on. I made that mistake and had to give a few things away before I ever got to wear them--like some nice Nike golf shorts! I am so very proud of your success. In a couple of months you will be doing even better. This summer is going to be so much better for you. Hugs, Suzanne In a message dated 4/28/2010 9:31:30 P.M. Guest guest
I can relate. I am at goal and then some. Started out 178, now 103. Just bought my first size 6 dress and I cried... I am at goal, been there, and trust me the journey is worth all the effort. Everyone states how tiny I am and I just say, I was always tiny, just had a big heart...... Great job, Jo If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything. From: kimmies_mommy@...Date: Wed, 28 Apr 2010 15:14:41 -0600Subject: Progress or Not? I regularly have fights with my washer over the fact that I never do laundry and it gets lonely... ANYWAYS, I was looking for some clean jean shorts today and couldn't find any so I reached into my shorts drawer and pulled out a size 26 pair that I have been saving until they fit (I started my journey in a 28-30, but closer to the 30 side) I pulled them up, looked at my fiancee and told him that it was progress, but I doubt they will button. Once I got them pulled up I pulled them closed and buttoned them with no problem! Ok, this is too good to be true, I will never get them zipped... well, I did. It took a little bit of coaxing and a prayer, but they are buttoned and zipped. So I would consider that progress, EXCEPT that the area around my pooch and butt area is really, tight. It's kinda funny, cuz the waist is so loose I can pull them away from my stomach about 2". LOL So do I claim a victory because I got them on or wait until they fit comfortably and I can breathe when I sit down? LOL Chrysi P.S. I'm down 38 lbs in 6 wks & 2 days!! Guest guest
You claim EVERY little victory. It's the little victories that keep us going and the add up to huge victories (I Know ..I'm a math teacher...definitely add them up) The day may even come when you get something out of your dryer and say OMG they shrank so much I'll never get into them andthen you will find they will fit perfectly!!! g > > > > I regularly have fights with my washer over the fact that I never do laundry and it gets lonely... Guest guest
Anytime you can get something on it counts and keep trying because you may find that you skip a few sizes going down. Before the surgery I bought several outfits for special occasions but never got to wear them because I gained weight before I had a chance. After the surgery I was all excited because I now had the chance. Unfortunately, I didn't try some stuff on soon enough and by the time I did it was too big. The charity shop benefited though because it got some really nice stuff with the price tags still on it. Congratulations on your achievement. You are going to do fantastic. Guest guest
Chrysi,This is definitely progress, 38 lbs in 6 weeks oh yeah. That is the best feeling, when you put on clothes that you couldn't get into before. Now I have the problem of not having anything to wear because everything is TO big. You will be there soon enough, keep up the good work and enjoy your journey.V-From: Chrysi <kimmies_mommy@...>Subject: Progress or Not?"Bandsters" < >Date: Wednesday, April 28, 2010, 4:14 PM I regularly have fights with my washer over the fact that I never do laundry and it gets lonely...
