Guest guest
I have emailed Dr. A's office for medical advice, but I wanted to know if any of you dealt with this and what helped you... I had surgery last Friday and have done very well as far as the way I feel (oh, and with WL - 15.4 lbs so far!). Today I have felt very tired and weak. While taking a shower this morning, I almost passed-out. I had to exit the shower and lay down with soap everywhere and conditioner still in my hair. It was really scary! I have been debating going back to work early because of how well I have felt, but now I'm scared to leave the house! Any words of wisdom?? Thanks! Guest guest
Are you drinking enough? Dehydration can cause this.MarilouDr. AcevesVSG~February 5, 2010 On Sep 3, 2010, at 3:09 PM, kristaacasey wrote:I have emailed Dr. A's office for medical advice, but I wanted to know if any of you dealt with this and what helped you...I had surgery last Friday and have done very well as far as the way I feel (oh, and with WL - 15.4 lbs so far!). Guest guest
What type of surgery did you have? Band? Are you getting enough water? Are you still on BP meds? let me knowWhitneyOn Fri, Sep 3, 2010 at 6:09 PM, kristaacasey <kristaacasey@...> wrote: I have emailed Dr. A's office for medical advice, but I wanted to know if any of you dealt with this and what helped you... Guest guest
I had the sleeve and never have been on BP meds.Today I made and extra effort to get in more then enough water and will end up with 75oz before I stop tonight. I also stepped-up my protein (which has been the hardest part on these clear liquids because I don't like the isopure type drinks) and have had 80g so far.I certainly feel better than I did yesterday, but I'm still kind of weak and will get dizzy. I'm hoping that if I do this again tomorrow I will see even better results. The time I felt the worst today was after a 2 hour nap. I immediately got up and had a Protein shot for "dinner" (26g protein) and started feeling icky right after.I did dishes this morning and did feel a little dizzy, but it wasn't enough to stop me and make me sit down. Thanks!!KristaSent from my iPhoneOn Sep 4, 2010, at 8:28 PM, Whitney Knoll <ldybrigit@...> wrote: What type of surgery did you have? Guest guest
Hi, Isopure is awful. Go to www.unjury.com and check out the packets of chicken broth you can buy. It is pretty good and someone said that the Strawberry drink that they have counts as the Clear Liquids. Isopure or as I call it Isopuke taste like Pond Scum. When you get to the creamy stage try Premiere Protein if you have a Costco Store. That is where I get mine and 2 years later I am still drinking it for breakfast every morning. It really is good. Guest guest
I also used Unjury and the chicken soup was great. MAKE SURE you use warm water like the directions tell you. Of course my curiousity made me try hot water, and basically the chemical composition changes and you end up with endless foam of nasty stuff. Also I used the plain Unjury and put it into my jello later on during the weeks BUT NOT WHEN THE JELLO IS TOO HOT. That has a good protein amount also. Definately UNJURY ann marie From: SuzanneSH@... <SuzanneSH@...>Subject: Re: Did anyone experience this?!?!? Date: Saturday, September 4, 2010, 11:29 PM Hi, Isopure is awful. Guest guest
I experienced this exact same thing. With the travel, surgery and return trip home, I had planned to only take one week off from work- but that turned in to two weeks. I was very weak, tired and had absolutely no energy. I could barely get out of bed and taking a shower expended any energy that I had. It was quite worrisome to my mother and husband and I admit did worry me as well. I know though, that it was due to not getting in enough protein- it was my own doing and my own fault. I wasn't anywhere close to the 60-70 g of protein that they want you to get in. It became and is still so obvious just how important getting in enough protein is. We now have a much, much smaller stomach yet we still need the fuel to keep us going. I immediately felt better and returned to my normal energy levels once I got to get out of the clear liquids stage (the first 10 days) and then better and better as each stage passed. I think that by now you should be out of the (or close to being finished with the) clear liquid stage and my hope for you is that you will see a change in your energy levels. However, I also completely agree with the others that have said you may want to have a blood panel done with your doctor here.
