approaching my 2 month mark

Hi everyone!

I am approaching my 2 month post op and all is going so well. I can't believe

the changes that have happened.

I went from being a size 24 to 16 pants; I have more energy now than before. I

do not regret my surgery at all and would do it again despite some of the

setbacks I've had.

The only major issue I've had is the food that I can safely eat. I've discovered

the hard way that red meat is a big no-no, as is pork. I can only eat chicken

sparingly and turkey seems to be ok for now. I can only eat food at 1 meal per

day. I have a protein shake for breakfast and one for lunch. Veggies at this

stage are very limited. No salads yet, but I can handle cooked broccoli,

cauliflower and carrots. As well, in terms of liquids, plain water works best

for me as I cannot keep Crystal Light down. Jello and yogurt are hard for me to

eat as they hurt when I swallow and it hurts my stomach. I also discovered that

I get hives if the food does not agree with me.

Because of the limited food, my body temperature is colder so my doctor is

ordering me as of today to have extra protein. I am also suffering from

constant constipation so I am on medication for that as well.

No one in my family knows I've had the procedure and no one has noticed the

weight loss so far but that is ok. I'm sure by the time Christmas comes along

I'll look completely different and they will probably notice it by then.

Anyways, that is my 2 month post op report.

Have a wonderful day.
