Definitely supposed to be creamy.  It also doesn't do well if frozen.

Hi Janice, I also bought Premier Chocolate at Costco and really, really like it. I have not had chunks in mine, its very creamy and chocolatey. Just once I had a bit of metallic aftertaste but it went away quickly with another sip and it was not bad enough to put me off. I also shake mine up pretty good and sometimes I drink it from a glass and sometimes from the container.

I think you may have defective batch.

Janice,

I had a case with chunks and contacted Premier and they had me send them the info on the case and then sent me a new case... great customer service.

They also told me to return my case to Costco and I did and replaced it....

I was happy..

Well, I took it back and got a new case! The new one is creamy and

chocolatey....not bad at all!

FYI - when I get sick of chocolate (since that's the only flavor we can buy at

Costco.....), I add about 3/4 a cap of cherry extract. If you want to use

peppermint extract, use MUCH less, maybe 1/4 cap.....I've also used almond

extract, but cherry is my favorite!

You can buy frozen Strawberries and they are always great to drop a few in the drink and blend it in the blender. I have done that before and it tastes great. I would rather have some fresh fruit or frozen fruit to add to my drink. Stay away from bananas because a whole banana has 21 grams of carbs and that is too many carbs for you for just one thing.

I am really not a big chocolate person, but I am amazed at the fact that I love these drinks and continue to drink it still 2 years after my sleeve surgery. It is just a great way to start off my morning and you get 30 grams of protein.

Do what tastes good for you. Experiment with a few different flavors--but add a small amount at first to see if you like the flavor mixed with the chocolate.

Take care,

Suzanne

Hi ,

NO it does not come in a power. It comes in a drink box already mixed. The only flavor that I can find in the city I live in is Chocolate. But I love this drink and it taste good.

You can not use it in the first 10 days after surgery. You can only have CLEAR liquids for the first 10 days after surgery. So I used Unjury chicken broth for my protein in the first 10 days. It wasn't too bad, but don't buy a large amount of it. I just bought some small packets. You can find it on their web site www.unjury.com

Hi, Does anyone know if you can start to drink the premier Protein from Costco in the cream soup stage? I am 10 days post-op and I am starting on cream soups but I am having troubles getting my protein in and was wondering if those chocolate protein drinks are okay at this stage. Thanks
