Oh gee, how do I tell you that you are not special, and this has happened to ALL of us at different stages of the weight loss. Hang on to your hat because it will start up again. So get used to it. Don't change anything. Make sure you are getting enough protein and start walking a little more each day. This is VERY NORMAL. I know it isn't fun because all of a sudden you stop losing, but honestly it gets better.

Hugs,

Suzanne

Yes, this is very normal, even for 10+

days. Its annoying, frustrating, and unavoidable; even worse, it will occur

again. However, you will lose the weight. I normally stall for two-three weeks

then drop 5 pounds in two days.

If you haven’t done so yet, record

your body measurements! Neck, wrist, chest, waist, wrist, thigh, and calf, when

you are not losing according to the scale, you will notice these have shrunk

instead. Also remember, muscle is denser then fat, so the scale may not change

but you are replacing the fat weight with muscle.

Hi ,

Your not alone at all. Lots of us including myself had early on stalls. I'm 7 weeks out and have lost only 5 weeks of it. Its going to work for us both. I get the same depressed crazy feelings but its because its a big adjustment both mentally and physicaly. Are you following the phases as advised? Have you started or are about to start mushies? And get in some walking it will help. I know its hard but im here for ya.

My cure for stalls is to weigh once a month. The scale is not your best friend. Yes it is exciting to see drops every day or every week but its no fun to be stuck. If the numbers bother you avoid them. If you follow Dr. Aceves' directions on food and exercise you WILL lose. STEP AWAY FROM THE SCALE!MarilouDr. AcevesVSG~February 5, 2010

You shouldn't be stalled this long. I bet you are not eating the right thing. You need to sit down and start keeping track of the kinds of foods you are eat. Are you eat good healthy protein and fresh veggies? Are you doing any kind of exercise.

Track your food and look at the carbs you are eating--NO more than 40 per day of carbs.

I keep hearing about all these stalls. I'm 10 months out and can't stop loosing.

Getting a little worried now after 15 lbs under my goal. Just can't stop

loosing. I'm beginning to look pretty bad. Lost 90 plus and haven't stabilized

yet. I'm eating candy bars ice cream and anything I can get my hands on, I just

can't eat too much of it but I eat it every day. I'm drinking beer too but not

much, couple a day.

Hi sure it has and it is quite normal at about this stage. I stalled for 9 days. Don't do anything different. You will start to lose again soon. And when you hit the 50 pounds lose you may stall again--DO NOT panic you are right on track.

Take care,

Suzanne

Please let me know how you stop the losing. I am thinking of getting the sleeve, but I'm a naturally tiny person only 5'2" and small boned so I don't want to end up looking horrible. Please keep me posted this is my biggest fear.

I'm sorry to hear that you're going through this. I am in the same situation I'm

3 weeks out as well. I'm down 16lbs . I've stalled for about 10 days myself now.

I was really concerned because my BMI was 29. This is only because I was a lap

band revinsion. I see that some of you have posted that this is normal at three

weeks. Where did you read this information? I've looked for this info but unable

to find. I think u all r right we need to stay away from the scale.

I used a high cal protein drink from GNC, I wasn't able to get solids in and was losing lots too. The drink was a 1,000 calories per drink so it definitely stopped the losing. You want to make sure you are getting nutrition, not JUST calories. Try it, it can't hurt. I ended up at 127 lbs and my goal was 150lbs. I found that I really liked being on the smaller end and I have worked at staying around 133-135, I like it here :) Good luck! Hi,

I always find this an interesting questions with a simple answer. As you go along this path you learn the right amount of calories in to the right amount of exercise and that is how you control the weight loss. When you are losing you know how many calories --about 800 per day and then some exercise to help you--walking is my main form of exercise that I do. And honestly when you get to your goal weight it is very easy to do. If you are losing then you eat more calories and less exercise. It is calories in calories out--Pretty simple and not too complicated at all.

By the way I am a small person too 5'3" tall and I went from 225 to 120. Once you get use to this new way of life and eating you understand what I am tell you. This is a tool to allow you to lose the weight, it isn't anything magical the just let the fat melt off you--it takes work on your part too. This is the best thing you can do for yourself and I recommend it HIGHLY!

I found it! It was the GNC Pro Performance Mass XXX - Vanilla

6 lb(s), I

used the vanilla and then put in the blender with some strawberries OR added sugar free caramel syrup (like for adding to latte's) to give it some different flavors, since that was all I "ate" for 4 weeks. From: phine Carioti <jvcarioti@...> Sent: Sat, July 17, 2010 10:48:19 PMSubject: RE: Re: Stalls!
