Post-surgery hospital hint

Ok, this may or may not be an ok thing to suggest but it apparently

didn't do me any harm. ;o)

Cyrena suggested I take some broths that can be ordered from

amazon.com. The brand is Savory Choice and if you search for that,

you'll get chicken, beef and turkey to choose from. They're liquids

that come in little packs like Crystal Light.

Every meal I got at the hospital was the same...a bowl of chicken

broth, a bowl of lime jello, a glass of apple juice and a cup of

tea. I'm not knocking the broth at all but it could have been more

highly seasoned for me. The first two meals I took as is. The

second two, I spiked the broth with a packet of chicken broth I'd

taken along. It really, really made the broth taste better! :o)

BTW, this is also a really good thing for the trip home. If you're

flying, the flight attendent will likely be able to give you a cup of

hot water that you can make up some broth with. I don't know about

everyone else, but I'm finding that warm makes me feel better than

cold. I drink cold things but if I'm starting to feel a bit tired or

just plain puny, a cup of something warm soothes and gives me some

energy back.
