Guest guest
Hi folks, I'm so happy to have found this Group after scheduling my VSG with Dr. Aceves' office today (Nina is great!). I have to admit I was probably a pain in the butt to them today, calling three times. I even called once to move my surgery date back a month (from 09/20/10) after I figured out I was going to need to save some cash a little while longer as a self-pay patient. Makes me think back to all the things I wish I had done without so that I could get the surgery sooner rather than later. Hindsight is always 20/20. I'm looking forward to reading the posts here and see that folks here are a fabulous research for those of us about to go forward with this! Guest guest
Amari, Welcome to this site. You are going to have all kinds of feelings and emotions going on as you get closer to your surgery date. They are ALL very normal. You are excited right now and as time gets closer you will second guess yourself if you are going to be doing the right things--you are. You will be scared and excited all at one time. These are all very normal. Then you will have questions about going to Mexicali for this surgery and Dr. Aceves--I think he is fabulous and you have made an excellent choice. Just remember there are a lot of us who have been through this and we are here for your support and for you to ask any questions that you will have come up. There are a lot of wonderful people on this site. I found a few to be amazing when I was uncertain about if I was doing the right thing. You are doing the right things. We are all real people, none of us are being paid to say the things we say. You may experience family and friends who think you are crazy for going to Mexico to have this surgery. You are not crazy at all--you have made the best choice you could have. After going to Mexicali and receiving the treatment that you are going to get, you will never want to go to any US hospital. Mexicali is soooooooo clean and the staff is just wonderful. I would suggest you go to the main page and look at some of the photos of the people who have posted them. They will really motivate you. Please ask any questions that pop into your mind. That is what we are here for. Welcome to our group and are excited and thrilled that you are going to join us!
