Hi Everyone,

I finally got a callback tonight from the local hosp that I was hoping to get

into their program for my aftercare (just in case, and to make my family happy)

but they won't take anyone who has had their surgery by a surgeon other their

own. Get this, they get $24,300 for private pay sleevers. I told her I was

going to Mexico, but did a lot of research and he's an excellent surgeon. She

was not put off by that at all but did ask me a lot of questions. Most of my

answers were typical of their program too. She asked me if I would please call

her when I return to tell her how I'm doing and how my experience was. I said

sure! Things are starting to calm down with my family and I thank you all again

so very much because you gave me good answers to come back with for their

questions. The man I have lived with for 30 years is now accepting that I'm

going but he won't go with me. You know, I'd rather he didn't anyway. He would

probably just stress me out worrying about this and that from the time we even

arrived at the airport for takeoff. I also spoke with my sister in AZ twice

today about some business stuff, and she did not bring it up either time. I

also received the nicest encouraging letter from Nina last night. She is so

nice and understanding! Everyone here is too!

I went online trying to rebook my flight with United in early Jan and the prices

have just skyrocketed (little pun there). Didn't book anything yet.

Does anyone have a definte Jan date yet?

Priscilla

PS. Bipley - what does COE stand for -- Center of Excellence??

Do you Know that is not a such website where Drs can post their failure or bad records that is forbidden to them because that would affect their record, can you inmagine if any Dr post any failure in his career all of them will become poor and homelessThe only way to see Dr records in they career is by people posting or reporting any good or bad things that happen or by reporting to the Medical Associations but listen to this the Drs are well care by those AMA and they just do not report any complication if this problem haven't been decided by a court that found the Dr guilty of X problem otherwise if your own desicion and research that have to decided what to do also searching in forums like this one help you with your final choice.

she didn't offer the 5th. She offered the 6th & 8th though, plus 4 dates the

following week. I'll let you know when it get finalized...maybe we'll see each

other there! Good luck and enjoy your sightseeing in San Diego!

Hi,

I'm waiting for a phone call from after she confirms with a patient on

whether or not they are really still scheduled for Dec 28th (they weren't down

as a definite). If they are not, then I'm probably going on 12/27 for a 12/28

surgery date and returning home on Jan 2nd. It's mostly because of the

scheduling problem with United in Jan. If they are, then I may just book with a

totally different airline but I have $389 into united so I wanted to use that up

first. Will give you all another update as one comes about.

Hi Everyone,

The date has been finalized - It's Jan 6th!!! I'm so excited - I even have my plane reservations all made. Flying down on the 5th, VSG surgery on the 6th, then fly to Phoenix on the 9th to spend 5 nights with my sister (she's fine with this now). I fly back to NH on the 14th and was even lucky enough to get a Non-Stop flight (just 4 Hrs, 45 Min) instead of the normal 8 hrs.

Thanks for all your support! I can't believe how wonderful and caring everyone is here. Thank you so much. Happy Holidays to all!
