Guest guest
I have a question. About 14 months ago I had an episode of epigastric pain that was thought to be gallbladder related. I was sent for an ultrasound, and it was totally normal. No stones, no sludge, no nothing. Well, I had a couple of attacks before my surgery in November. That was one of the reasons I decided to get banded. I have been on Prilosec for it. I have been having these attacks again lately, usually about once a week. They are right in the middle of my chest, just below my ribcage. The pain is very very sharp and it stays constant for an hour or more. I am now thinking I am having gallbladder attacks. I work with 2 other women who have has wls; one RNY, one duodenal switch, and me with my band. The other two women have both said that the attacks are very much like gallbladder attacks. One said that weight loss can bring on gallstones. Has anyone else had anything like this? Or am I the only one in the whole world? Little help? Bipley? Anyone? I am going to see my doctor next Thursday so I will bring it up then, but in the meantime THIS REALLY SUCKS!!! Thanks for letting me whine.
