Guest guest
Hi , tYou will be in excellent hands and with the best professional staff there is. Don't let her experience play over and over in your mind. You aren't her and you will have an excellent time in recovery. This is about YOU and NO one else. You have made the right choice. Have a little talk with yourself and know that this is absolutely the best thing you will ever do for yourself. You want the very best for yourself and you are going to receive it when you are in the hands of Dr. Aceves and Dr. Compos. Just keep telling yourself you can do this and repeat after me. " I am a wonderful person and I deserve to have the best I can in life." Just do it to prove you can! We all have been a bundle of nerves--this is pretty normal. Each one of will tell you it was worth it and the nerves go away once you arrive at the hospital. Hugs, Suzanne In a message dated 4/15/2010 5:30:33 P.M. I thought it would be nice to have a sleeve pal? lol I am ready to start my protein diet next week. I have heard that it is more difficult than the post op diet. I getting a little nervous about the surgery. A friend of mine's daughter just had an operation and she was telling me about her experiences last night waking up in recovery. Well I nearly passed out from anxiety just thinking about it! I hated that feeling in previous surgeries and it all came flooding back. Not looking forward to that at all! Thanks for listening guys.Another
Guest guest
Hello - I was just sleeved by Dr. Aceves on the 6th. Let me tell you something. This doctor and his staff is so wonderful it will make you sick of the US hospitals. They are all around you night and day. They are in and out asking how you are, taking your blood pressure, bringing you drinks, asking if you need medications. It will be so overwhelming in a wonderful way. I'm sure there will be people down there with you but I took the journey alone. I had nobody with me when I went to Mexicali and it was amazing how you bond to people. If you need to know anything else fill free to ask about Mexicali or the hospital or anything. Don't be afraid. This is how I looked at it. They take you to the operating room and you get an IV started and next thing you know you are waking up a new person, a new birthday. It goes really fast and its okay to be a little scared, we all get scared. But the results are gunna be great!! I promise you that!! ann marie From: imwendylou <wlichti@...>Subject: Anyone there April 26-30? Date: Thursday, April 15, 2010, 5:17 PM Hello everyone. Guest guest
Thanks for all the support ladies. I feel a little better already. I am hoping they put me out before I reach the OR. lol I just really hate the waking up part. I will put it out of my mind though. No sense worrying about something that silly I guess. I will try to look at it as a rebirth. Into the new and improved Lou.
Guest guest
Hey , This is great news! We told you that everything would be OK and you are living proof that it is just as good as we said it was going to be. So next time someone isn't quite sure you can tell them your story and encourage them. Take care, Suzanne In a message dated 4/21/2010 8:24:09 A.M. Guest guest
Congrats, . Glad it's behind you now, and you're on your way to the loser's bench. Yes, drugs have changed a lot in 7 years, amazingly so. Glad your recovery is going as expected. > > Hi > > I'm the other . :-) > > I just returned from Mexicali on Monday evening and am currently recovering > pretty good.
