Guest guest
Yes, I would. They would let you know if it isn't safe for you to be there. Your safety is always important to the doctors and staff. So just plan on going. Suzanne In a message dated 4/5/2010 6:51:49 A.M. Guest guest
My daughter and her family just crossed the border at Calexico a few minutes ago (April 5, 9:30 am). No problems. They're going to my home so. of San Felipe. If there's anything to report that she sees along the way, I'll post again. Guest guest
I know I was scheduled for today for surgery and it has been postponed. I am not sure yet when I am going to get it done. But I am not to worried because I live close I dont have to worry about getting a flight. I am so mentally ready I was all set a prepared to go now it is a waiting game. From what I have heard there is no major damage to the Hospital or Hotel. Ann Marie if they do your surgery tomorrow good luck and I will be thinking of you. Guest guest
Coincidentally, I flew to Cabo San Lucas yesterday while my daughter and her family were crossing the border to go to my home in San Felipe, about 120 miles so.of Mexicali. Kathy reported no damage along the way to the highway or buildings. She didn't see evidence of any damage. The only problem was in El Centro, when they stopped for gas. All of the stations were closed and there were reports the border was closed, too. We go to Mexico a lot and knew that was not true and indeed, it was just a rumor. The newspaper did show patients in a Mexicali hospital being treated in the parking lot but I haven't heard whether that was a precaution or there was actual damage. I was happy to hear there was no damage to anything in my home and vases, perched precariously high, didn't fall. I would double check with Almater to make sure it is business as usual for them. p.s. I bought size 8 pants for my Easter outfit. Don't delay your surgery. You can do this, too!!!!
